Pinoy Dream Academy scholar Mariangela Trinidad, or "Panky" to avid viewers of the reality-based talent show, is still confused about her sexuality but admits she might be bisexual.
"Naa-attract kasi ako sa both sexes. May nagustuhan akong babae... lalaki. I'm really confused. I think I'm bisexual," reveals Panky in her interview with PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal) during the press con of PDA's Headmaster's Honor List of 6 last Sunday, December 10, held at Dencio's restaurant, Quezon City.
Panky says that she admires her co-scholar Chad Peralta (from Australia) and has a crush on their martial arts instructor, Alvin. But she also finds pretty Irish Fullerton (from USA), another co-scholar.
"I guess everyone goes through this phase. Malakas lang ang loob ko siguro to admit it. But one thing is for sure, I won't grow old with the same sex. I want to have my own family and to raise my own kids," says Panky.
Panky, who hails from Cebu, has a brother and a sister from the same mother but from different fathers. "Iba-iba ang tatay namin and they [siblings] got married early," she adds.
The aspiring singer also reveals that she used to hold a grudge against her father because he hit her mother.
"Pero after nu'ng task, na if we're given only two days to live at ano-ano ang gusto naming gawin, I was able to talk to my dad. I told him everything. Ngayon, medyo magaan na ang feeling ko," says Panky.
Panky is one of the remaining PDA scholars who will compete for the Grand Dream Night on December 16 at the Araneta Coliseum. The others are Chad, Iris, Yeng Constantino, Jay-R Siaboc, and Ronnie Liang.
