GMA-7 flashed back to the '80s with the press

GMA-7 President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Atty. Felipe Gozon joins the members of the press for the annual Christmas Party.

GMA-7 President and Chief Executive Officer Atty. Felipe Gozon, Vice President and Chief Operating Officer Jimmy Duavit, and Senior Vice President for Entertainment Wilma Galvante joined invited members of the entertainment press at Virgin Café on Tomas Morato, Quezon City, last night, December 13. It was a déjà vu of the '80s as members of the press and the PR officers and staff of GMA-7 donned the fashion of that decade.

GMA-7 head for Entertainment Publicity Jayce Perlas, hosted the evening in a Billy Idol get-up. The party was almost exclusive for press members. Of GMA-7's talent center, only Bakekang's Sheryl Cruz and Manilyn Reynes managed to drop in on the event. The two also left early.

Manilyn and Sheryl are both members of the defunct TV show That's Entertainment, spearheaded by Kuya Germs. Manilyn was a member of the Tuesday group while Sheryl belonged to the Wednesday group. The two also gained their popularity back in the '80s.

The management of the Kapuso Network also gave away cash prizes and a round trip ticket for two in Cebu with first class accommodation at Waterfront Hotel in Cebu City. Other prices include DVD players, electric fans, washing machines, among others.

The entertainment columnists who took home the special prizes-- Rey Pumaloy for winning in the videoke challenge and Nene Riego and Bong de Leon for bagging the best costume award for their '80s look.
