One of the most anticipated scenes in Regal Entertainment's ZsaZsa Zaturnnah Ze Moveeh is the onscreen kiss of Ada (Rustom Padilla) and Dodong (Alfred Vargas).
Alfred tells PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal) about the tender moments that he shared with Rustom, who admitted on live television via Pinoy Big Brother Celebrity Edition that he is gay.
During Regal's "Fantastic Four" press conference held at Imperial Palace Suites in Quezon City, Alfred admitted that in line with the script of ZsaZsa Zaturnnah, he gave Rustom a "tender loving kiss...parang [sign ng] sincere na pagmamahal."
When asked how many times they did the kissing scene, he says, "Marami rin e... Kasi iba-iba anggulo nuon, so we had to do it many times. I think mga ten times, ganoon..."
The sexy actor claims that he did not feel awkward at all during the kissing scene. He explains, "Kasi I can say naman na during that time comfortable na ako with Rustom. And he is very professional and he's very respectable."
Alfred gets his fair share of action in the movie since he himself trained under fight instructors from Hong Kong and Singapore.
Aside from being seen in Zsa Zsa Zaturnnah, Alfred is also part of the drama series Muli, a co-production of GMA-7 and a Malaysian TV network.
"I learned a lot from Malaysia, and sobrang natuwa ako sa suporta at tiwala na binigay sa akin ng GMA-7, kasi this is a very big project. Ako pa yung nilagay nila doon and I'm proud of the work [I've done]," says Alfred of the drama series Muli, which is scheduled for airing early next year.
The sexy actor also gave his observations about Malaysians. "Actually, bilib sila sa mga Filipino. When I was working with them, nararamdaman ko yung respeto nila para sa kin. Masarap sila katrabaho kasi kung meron man tayong kapatid na nation—Malaysia na ‘yon.
Alfred also relishes the anonymity that comes with going abroad. "Merong may kilala sa akin do'n and natutuwa ako. Pero na-enjoy ko rin yung fact na pwede akong mag-malling mag-isa, pwede akong umuwi mag-isa, parang normal na tao lang."
