Kuya Germs opens Paradise of the Stars to the public

"I'm doing this not for myself.

Another big dream of the Master Showman, German "Kuya Germs" Moreno, came true with the blessing and inauguration of The Paradise of Stars last Saturday, March 10, at the Mowelfund Plaza on Rosario Drive, Cubao, Quezon City.

After his Walk of Fame at Eastwood, Kuya Germs still wanted to continue the bill he has suggested into making Quezon City the City of Stars. Though the bill is not yet put into action—which he proposed during the time of the then-Mayor Mel Mathay—Kuya Germs's dream for the stars in the industry still burns fervently.

Attended by mostly senior and veteran stars of the industry, Kuya Germs was teary-eyed as most of his colleagues during his Sampaguita days gave their time for the occasion.

"I'm doing this not for myself," he said.

Kuya Germs wouldn't disclose the amount he's putting into all his projects. But it was hinted to us that his Walk of Fame cost him almost P4 million, while for the Paradise of Stars—which is not yet complete—he has already shouldered close to P400,000.

"Marami pang puwedeng ayusin dito.

But it cannot be denied that somehow, Kuya Germs still feels displeased that not everyone attends to his call.

Definitely, Kuya Germs is not getting anything in return for this dream. But why is he persistent into doing all these projects?

The stars of yesteryears wallowed in nostalgia as they sang the night away with the band. The great Eddie Garcia dished out love songs while favorite LVN leading lady Delia Razon sung to her heart's content. Lilia Dizon, mother of successful actors Christopher, Pinky and Melissa de Leon, showed everyone the diva that she was during her time. Of course, the great villainess Bella Flores hit the high notes with gusto!
