Reaction ito sa naibalita sa isang tabloid that Ruffa Gutierrez is allegedly a "deprived housewife who has to work her ass off" dahil "she is being financially restricted by her husband."
Unang-unang correction daw, ayon kay Ruffa, she's not a housewife, but a working woman.
Panimulang pahayag ni Ruffa, "I'm a working girl since 12. I've been raised in the States and I have always admired women who are empowered, like Oprah Winfrey and Tyra Banks, who is not just a model anymore but a mogul.
"Nang nakilala ako ni Yilmaz, I'm already in this business and I told him this will be my life. When we got married in 2003, I've dedicated myself to my family. Nagsunod nga ang anak namin, sina Lorin and Venice. Si Venice nga, when I got pregnant with her, Lorin was just three months old.
"But that's four years without going showbiz. Akala ng tao, when you get married to men of affluence, okay nang lahat. Pero nakakasawa rin, lalo na if you miss your job. Kasi, where will I wear my nice clothes doon?"
But see, I'm living in Istanbul na nga but offers are coming. Blessings na ang lumalapit sa 'yo, so Yilmaz said he will allow me to work for five years."
As long as she will not disgrace her family raw, Ruffa can work.
"But, my God, ano ang ginagawa ng Calayan? By that time, I'll just be 37—that's just Gretchen's age this year!" natatawang sabi ni Ruffa bilang pagtatapos.
