Curtain call for "S-Files"?

Pia Guanio and John "Sweet" Lapus, according to a report, will be retained as hosts of the new show that will replace S-Files.

A very reliable source disclosed to PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal) that S-Files, the Sunday show biz talk show of GMA-7 hosted by Paolo Bediones, Joey Marquez, Pia Guanio, John "Sweet" Lapus, and Richard Gomez (before he filed his candidacy for senator) will have its final airing on April 8.

The production staff reportedly had their meeting recently, and according to our source, it was a sad day for all of them.

"No mention of reformatting, the show will be shut down on April 8. Kung ano ang ipapalit na show, hindi pa sinabi. But the people behind S-Files hope na may mabago sa decision," said the source.

PEP also received an unconfirmed report that only two S-Files hosts will be retained in the replacement show, Pia and Sweet. According to the report, Pia and Sweet will be joined by the controversial DJ Mo Twister. As for Joey and Paolo, GMA-7 is reportedly cooking up new projects for them.

At press time, S-Files has yet to return PEP's text messages for confirmation.
