Yilmaz Bektas to Ruffa Gutierrez: "I’m sorry."

"I'm sorry for my misunderstanding," said Yilmaz Bektas, estranged husband of Ruffa Gutierrez, in his most recent statement to GMA-7's 24 Oras.

"I'm sorry for my misunderstanding," said Yilmaz Bektas, estranged husband of Ruffa Gutierrez, in his most recent statement to GMA-7's 24 Oras.

Only days before, Yilmaz had an interview with Danny Buenafe, ABS-CBN's Europe News Bureau Chief, in the Bektas's Istanbul home. The Turkish businessman was quoted as saying, "I think [Ruffa's] name have to be traitor and I'm calling her name now Brutus." He also said that he did not want to be with Ruffa anymore and wanted a divorce.

In an interview with The Buzz, Ruffa dismissed her husband's statements, saying that he was making such declarations because he was "emotional." The former Miss World Second Princess also said that she forgives Yilmaz for whatever he said.

Ruffa must really know her husband. Now the tides have changed in her favor.

In his phone interview with 24 Oras last night, June 4, Yilmaz took on an entirely different tone.

This time the Istanbul millionaire said, "That's why the situation right now, [Ruffa] has to understand [that] I'm confused. I'm really far from her and also I don't know what's really, really going on over there, everybody is saying different things."

He added, "I realize what is my mistake and my fault, and I hope she's gonna realize the same things... I will continue to respect her and also I will continue to respect her family because of her."
