GMA-7's first-ever Kapusolympics ends with flying colors

The Kapuso stars joined together for the first-ever Kapusolympics held last Saturday, June 23, at the Marikina Sports Park. The sportsfest is the culmination of GMA-7's 57th anniversary.

The final activity of GMA's 57th anniversary, the first-ever Kapusolympics, was held at the Marikina Sports Complex last Saturday, June 23.

Dapat sana'y half-day affair lang ito at by 4:30 pm ay awarding ceremony na. Kaso, with so many upsets bago makapagsimula ang bawat laro, inulan at ginabi na ang game. Hindi naman nawalan ng tao ang Kapusolympics come rain and moon at nag-stay ang halos lahat to see their favorite Kapuso stars.

Anim ang competing teams, representing six of the colors of the rainbow, na bahagi ng emblem ng GMA7: Green, Yellow, Orange, Red, Blue, and Violet. Walang Indigo to complete the rainbow sana and the exact number of the station's channel, seven.

They won P25,000 plus trophy and medals.

May mga special awards ding ipinamigay.

Luis Alandy of the Blue team won the Sportsmanship Award, although Green team captain Wendell Ramos got the Kapuso to the Highest Level Award. Kay Shirley Fuentes ang Pasaway Award. Kay Karel Marquez naman ang Lampa Award. Sunshine Dizon won the Never Say Die Award, Francine Prieto won World Class Ngiti Award.

Jeremy Marquez played for Red team, Polo Ravales for the Yellow Team.

Hindi naman nakapunta sina Pauleen Luna na may shooting that time; Paolo Contis and Katrina Halili na hindi nakahabol. Gabi naman nakarating si Angel Locsin straight from the airport dahil kagagaling niya lang from Bangkok together with her manager Becky Aguila at si Richard Gutierrez na rin. Sila ang nag-award ng mga prizes.

Ipalalabas ang kabuuan ng Kapusolympics this Sunday, July 1, sa Sunday Night Box Office slot, katapat ng telecast ng Bida Ng Buhay Ko, the Judy Ann Santos 20th year anniversary special na ginawa sa Araneta Coliseum for ABS-CBN.
