Indie actor Alchris Galura joins reality-talent search

"Wala pa akong napapatunayan sa pagdating sa musika kaya gusto ko ring magpakilala na may other side din ako as a performer," says Alchris Galura about joining Ride To Fame.

Replacing Move: The Search for Billy Crawford's Pinoy Dancers, which ended last Sunday, is another GMA-7 reality show co-produced by the giant soft drinks manufacturer, Coke's Ride to Fame.

Alchris, ang nakababatang kapatid ni Glaiza de Castro, is already a multi-awarded actor at 18. He won two Best Actor trophies for last year's independent movie Batad sa Daang Palay, in the Cinemalaya 2006 filmfest and Enpress's Golden Screen Awards for Movies. Alchris is also an Urian Awards nominee for this September.

Alchris downplayed his acting skills during the presscon of Road To Fame yesterday noon, August 1, at Ratsky's Tomas Morato, as well as his being brother to well-known Glaiza de Castro.

Alchris's music is soul and alternative.

Sabi namin sa kanya, he would be the biggest loser kung sakaling hindi siya palarin na tanghaling grand winner ng Road To Fame dahil siya na ang may pangalan.

"Okay lang po ‘yon, at least sumubok ako," sabi niya.
