Sarah Geronimo sets her sights on international stardom

Kailangan nga lang kailangan mong i-control ang sarili mo, ‘yong temper mo, ‘yong relationship mo with others," answered Sarah when asked how she is keeping herself humble in spite of success.

At only 19 years old, Sarah Geronimo has appeared in five movies, top- billed two television series, and won a number of singing plums. Now, she stars in yet another teleserye, Pangarap na Bituin, together with Rica Peralejo and Maja Salvador.

Sarah revealed that although she already has a successful career in local tinsel town, she still aspires for more.

At saka siyempre gusto ko pong maging successful international artist," said the Pop Princess.

"In ten years time, gusto ko pong maging katulad ni Miss Lea Salonga. Gusto ko pong mag-theater din. Basta gusto ko pong maging prominent, prestigious singer."

Sarah is said to be following the footsteps of singing greats Regine Velasquez and Sharon Cuneta.

"Ako man sa sarili ko, hindi ko kini-claim na ako ang next Regine or the next Megastar kasi walang-wala pa po ako sa kung anong mayroon sila sa kung anong mayroon ako ngayon. Atsaka hindi totoo ‘yong ‘The Next...' kasi lahat ng tao iba-iba. Kung ano po ‘yong na-achieve ko, ibang-iba po iyon sa na-achieve nila," she said in her usual polite demeanor.

BRILLO. A press member commented that some people are noticing that Sarah's voice is losing its "brillo" or brilliance.

Sarah disclosed that she is currently working with University of the Philippines College of Music Dean Ramon Acoymo to restore her voice.
