Fresh from abroad, pretty actress Iza Calzado happily confided to PEP (Philippne Entertainment Portal) that she's venturing into business with good friend and former Celebrity Duets contender Tim Yap.
The two popular celebrities are collaborating to come up with their own line of tights. Iza clarified, however, that she didn't join the venture during its initial planning stages.
"Actually, when I signed in, ginagawa na siya!" laughed Iza during the launching of Tim Yap's odm Limited Edition Watches II at the Rockwell Tent in Makati City last September 26.
Iza was also very happy to announce that the Hollywood version of Sigaw, titled The Echo, has wrapped up shooting and is currently in the final stage of production.
"Tapos na 'yong movie!" she yelped excitedly, raising her fist in the air, before adding, "Tapos na ang kalbaryo ko kasi hangga't hindi ko natatapos ang dramatic scenes ko dun, ang kaba ko kakaiba. Pero now, I'm happy to be home. I wish I could have stayed longer there, pero I'm glad I'm here."
Experiencing Hollywood production first-hand was hard work, according to the young actress.
"Mas organized lang dun kasi siyempre mas mahaba 'yong preparation period. Well, we are seven million dollars [in budget], which is pretty low budget pa rin. Kung ganun ang pera ninyo, kailangan talagang pagplanuhan nang mabuti 'yan kasi hindi mo pinupulot 'yon sa kanto-kanto lang. So 'yon, malaking bagay 'yong efficiency pagdating sa lahat ng aspects ng production and sa trabaho," explained Iza.
Another reason for celebration was Impostora's impressive showing in the ratings game, engaging Marimar in a tight battle for primetime supremacy.
"Suwerte nga, e. I feel happy na ganun ang naging pagtanggap ng mga tao, lalo na wala naman ako dito to promote. Hiyang-hiya nga ako, e. Pero at least nakahabol ako, nakapag-promo ako once bago matapos 'yong show," she smiled.
