Young sexy actress Cristine Reyes admitted that she and comedian-TV host Willie Revillame do go out—on groups dates, to be precise.
"Group," Cristine clarified to Showbiz Central co-host John "Sweet" Lapus yesterday, January 28, about the so-called dates.
Gamely taking on the lie-detector test challenge, a nervous Cristine explained further: "And never po kaming lumabas na kaming dalawa lang. 'Tsaka anong masama, di ba, dahil single naman ako? Pero lilinawin ko lang po na wala po kaming relasyon and ‘pag lumalabas kami, kasama ‘yong mga staff niya and ako kasama ko si ate [Ara Mina], marami kami."
Cristine and Willie are being linked to each other after reports came out that the two are frequently spotted hanging out together.
"Siguro kasi tinutukso ako sa kanya kaya hindi maiiwasan na sabihin ‘nakita ko sila sa labas.' Ganyan, ganyan," she added before praising the controversial Wowowee host, who also has a reputation as a ladies man, "E, kasi sweet talaga si Willie and wala naman akong masasabing masama sa kanya."
FRIENDS WITH DENNIS AGAIN. Months after her reported budding romance with young actor Dennis Trillo was cut short, Cristine also confided that they're communicating again but only as friends.
The courtship between the two came to a halt after Cristine had a feud with Dennis's ex-girlfriend, Carlene Aguilar late last year. Carlene, who is the mother of Dennis's son, taunted Cristine at the backstage of the videoke game show, All Star K—consequently upsetting Dennis's chance to win Cristine's heart.
"So clarify natin, friends na kayo ulit? Speaking terms na kayo ulit ni Dennis?" asked John to Cristine.
"Opo," replied Cristine.
"Nagti-text pa ba siya sa ‘yo?" probed John candidly.
"Opo," answered Cristine.
When quizzed if Dennis is giving any hints of rekindling his pursuit, Cristine simply quipped, "Balak ligawan?" She paused before replying, "Hindi naman po."
SNUBBING BING? Another old issue that continues to haunt Cristine is the issue linking her to the Janno Gibbs-Bing Loyzaga separation in the past.
Cristine denies any involvement, although she would rather not talk about it to avoid possible reactions that might resurrect the issue.
The rumor, however, was not lost to the crew of Marimar. According to some sources, the staff of the program panicked upon realizing that Bing and Cristine were both on the set during a shoot.
Recalling the incident, Cristine narrated what really transpired. "Actually may issue nga tungkol diyan," she verified. "Nag-taping ako ng Marimar 'tapos hindi ko alam na nandoon si Ms. Bing. Actually, ‘yong mga staff ang natataranta sa aming dalawa na huwag kaming pagkitain."
Cristine was totally oblivious of the supposed tension until she was told later on by Bing herself.
"Actually, that's true. Si Ms. Bing ang nagsabi sa akin and hindi ko alam na may ganoong kuwento, may ganoong issue na nangyari. Kasi kaming dalawa ni Ms. Bing, okay lang talaga sa amin and nalaman ko lang 'yong istorya noong nakausap ko na si Ms. Bing."
Cristine said that she's not blaming anyone for the incident brought about by misconception stemming from an old rumor.
"Pero okay lang po ‘yon. Hindi ko bini-blame 'yong mga staff ng Marimar," assured Cristine, "para gawin 'yon kasi pinuprotektahan nila kami pareho and since hindi nila alam na okay na kami, kaya nila ginawa ‘yon."
