Raymond Gutierrez enjoying stint as "Pinoy Idol" host

"This experience has been a lot for me. Wala na ako halos social life or personal life, perothis Pinoy Idol experience for me, each week, may natutunan ako about people...about Pinoy in general," says Raymond Gutierrez about hosting Pinoy Idol.

Kung ang kakambal niyang si Richard Gutierrez ay isa sa mga kinikilalang hottest heartthrobs ngayon, hindi rin maitatanggi that Raymond Gutierrez is also making his mark pagdating naman sa hosting.

His being the first Pinoy Idol host ang isa sa mga nagpapa-excite nang husto kay Raymond ngayon , kahit pa nga raw dito na halos nabubuhos ang lahat ng oras niya.

"Pinoy Idol is super, super fun!" bulalas ni Raymond sa PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal). "Kasa-kasama ako sa lahat ng auditions. Nandoon ako kasi, siyempre, bawat pumapasok at lumalabas, nandoon ako to guide them. Interviewing them how they're feeling.

"This experience has been a lot for me. Wala na ako halos social life or personal life, pero this Pinoy Idol experience for me, each week, may natutunan ako about people...about Pinoy in general. Different background, different stories.

"We're all just human," aniya. "We all have different problems. Minsan, may mga problema. Minsan, naiintindihan ko kung saan sila nanggaling. Kung paano sila...first time sila. Like ako, noong una kong week, kinakabahan ako. Alam ko na a lot of people are expecting fom me to do well. A lot of people are gonna criticize us.

"Siyempre, it's the first Pinoy Idol, part of the global brand. So, may pressure din. Pero ang ginawa ko, I take out the pressure and started to enjoy it. Started having fun and sincerely being interested with the people auditioning and yun...naging natural na," paliwanag ni Raymond.

FREMANTLE APPROVAL. On Raymond's part, aware naman daw siya na iba-iba at may kanya-kanya talagang choice ang mga tao on who they want to host the show.

All of us had to be approved by the London office."

"Well, yun nga yun, just like what I said, it's not just GMA. Kahit sinasabi nilang malakas sa GMA, but if you don't have something to prove or something to back it up... Yun lang ang masasabi ko ro'n. And it has to be approved by Fremantle. We had to send our video reels, biodata... So, we were approved by Fremantle and I'm very proud of that," pahayag ng young TV host.

SHOWBIZ CENTRAL.

"Yeah, but we proved them wrong," pagkikibit-balikat niya. "And I think, we're also proud of that and we were able to achieve our first year and our ratings are doing very well, consistently well. And I think, we owe it all to the people.

"I can't believe it! You know, for me, parang it's still a new beginning. Kasi, ito ang first ko na talagang first ko sa mundo ng showbiz for me. Kasi, before I used to host StarStruck, mga Binibining Pilipinas. Pero ito, iba. It's a different ball game. It's an entertaining news. It's kind of crazy sometimes, pero ang dami ko nang natutunan sa one year," may pagmamalaking pahayag ni Raymond.

SUPER TWINS.

"Yung tampuhan naman na ‘yon, its just like any other tampuhan ng magkapatid na naaayos din. Tumagal din siguro siya ng three months. I became busy with Showbiz Central. We live in different houses, so we didn't get to see each other a lot to sit down and talk about that small and really lame tampuhan.

"Nagkikita lang kami noon sa SOP, maraming tao, we can't have a proper conversation. It's just tampuhang magkapatid and, I'm sure, all of us have been something like that. Yung okay dun, now that okay kami ni Richard, parang mas naging strong yung bond namin. Kasi, nakilala namin yung isa't isa."

Paano sila naging okay?

"A week after my mom [Annabelle Rama] announced it, nag-usap na kami. Okay na. Ganoon lang talaga. Parang walang nangyari. We just came to a point na parang walang nangyari. Nasa set, nag-usap na kami, ‘tapos nagkuwentuhan. Parang we came to realize, ‘Okay na pala tayo? Bati na pala tayo?'" pagtatapos ni Raymond.
