Rudy Fernandez’s buddies and Lorna Tolentino give him their neverending support

There's probably no better way to display the true meaning of friendship than the way Bong Revilla, Jinggoy Estrada, and Phillip Salvador showed their very good friend Rudy Fernandez the support he deserves and the encouragement that makes him stronger.

Rudy, who has been battling cancer these past few months, found hope in the form of support from friends and family when he and wife Lorna Tolentino came home recently from Hong Kong with medical results concerning his condition.

Bong gladly related to StarTalk the news about Rudy's arrival, "Nung umuwi si Daboy [Rudy's nickname] galing Hong Kong with the results from the tests, e, pumunta kaming magkakaibigan sa doctor dito kung ano pa ang puwedeng gawin, to support Daboy.

Bong also said that the three of them were also amazed at Rudy's positive disposition and black humor.

On a serious note, Bong revealed that he sees the toughness in Rudy though he feels that deep inside, Rudy still needs prayers from his friends and fans who continue to support him all the way.

THE SUPPORTIVE WIFE. Rudy's wife, Lorna Tolentino, also spoke out on StarTalk concerning the text messages that were coming out saying that Rudy has passed away.

But then, you want them to be informed also on what's going on. Pero siguro hindi naman kailangan idetalyado pa."

What can she share to those speculators who require a progress report?

"Actually now, Rudy is having a treatment. Ang tawag doon ay RexEngy Therapy. Ginagawa po namin yun sa Asian Hospital," said Lorna.

Butch was about to ask the specifics about the said therapy, but Lorna was already explaining the details.

"RexEngy Therapy is a targeted medicine for cancer and less toxic than chemotherapy. Mas maganda ang kulay niya, and lalo siyang mas guwapo ngayon!" Lora proudly said.

Butch then switched the topic by asking about Rudy's reaction on the support from his friends.

A lot of people may have misunderstood Lorna's crying on TV. They may have felt that Lorna was giving up. However, Lorna dismissed this by explaining that nothing is impossible with God.

"But then," Lorna reflected, "tao lang din tayo, may moment na kulang ang strength mo. But now, I feel na sa aming dalawa ni Rudy, e, stronger ang faith namin, ang love namin, ang hope namin for each other. Ito yung battle ni Rudy na nakikita ko na it tells much of his soul ngayon."

Her message to Daboy?
