Regine Velasquez returns to "SOP," remains a Kapuso

Asia's Songbird Regine Velasquez finally put speculations to rest, confirming stories about her not transferring to ABS-CBN.

When she appeared on SOP yesterday, March 2, she gave out the news to everyone present that she still is, in her own words, a "proud Kapuso." Her boyfriend Ogie Alcasid couldn't be happier.

"I'm very relieved," a smiling Ogie said. "Umaapaw ang aking kasiyahan! I'm very proud of her. Naninindigan siya sa sinasabi niya, very proud."

Regine, in turn, said that she is so overwhelmed with the warm welcome she received from the people.

Wala lang akong network at that time. Kasi it was a choice.

"I resigned [from SOP], at nagpaalam ako nang maayos kasi I wanted to do a project with ABS-CBN. As an artist, ganun naman talaga na you wanted to grow. But that doesn't matter anymore. What's important is that I'm staying."

"As a matter of fact, marami namang ibinibigay na show sa akin ang GMA-7. It's either ayaw ko lang gawin because of my schedule, mga ganoon lang. I love everybody I've been working with in the past how many years, di ba?

Regine will start shooting her movie with boyfriend Ogie Alcasid in March titled Love Is Blind...and Deaf under GMA Films and Viva Films.
