TV Ratings (March 28-31): Gabby, KC, and Sharon make weekend viewing more exciting

Weekend viewing became more exciting with the arrival offormer matinee idol Gabby Concepcion. His live interview with Boy Abunda on The Buzz a fewhours after he arrived last Sunday,March 30, was much talked about. But surprisingly, this did not do much toboost the rating of The Buzz, which only got 9.6 percent compared to itsrival show Showbiz Central's 14.3 percent—which had Pia Guanio interviewingDina Bonnevie, the ex-wife of Pia's boyfriend Vic Sotto.

Aside from Gabby, The Buzz also had a special feature on hisdaughter KC Concepcion that made that particular episode sort of a familyaffair. A few hours later, Gabby's ex-wife and KC's mother Sharon Cuneta wasalso seen in her weekly show, which posted a rating of 16.8 percent to grab theseventh spot in the Sunday primetime race.

Speaking of KC, her month-long drama anthology in ABS-CBNtitled I Am KC premiered last Saturday, March 29, with a modest 19.1 percent totake the No. 6 position among primetime programs. Bitoy's Funniest Videos tookthe top spot with 31.5 percent.

The ABS-CBN primetime drama series Maging Sino Ka Man hadits final episode last Friday, March 28, posting a rating of 20 percent—itshighest in months—to nab the tenth spot.

Maging Sino Ka Man was replaced by a new Koreanovela titledLovers starring Lovers in Paris' Vivian (Kim Jung Eun). It premiered lastnight, March 31, with 13.4 percent.

Meanwhile, Daisy Siete's 17th season titled"Ulingling" also had its last episode Friday, grabbing the top spot with 21.8percent while the pilot episode of its 18th season titled "ThePrince and the 7 Maids" placed second Monday with 21.9 percent.

Janno Gibbs's game show in GMA-7, Kakasa Ka Ba Sa Grade 5?,also had its season finale episode Saturday at No. 3 with 25.5 percent. MichaelV. was the celebrity contestant, and he was also the first and only contestantto win the P1 million jackpot prize.

Kamandag took the No. 1 spot in the nightly primetimerace from Joaquin Bordado, which dropped to No. 2.

Babangon Ako't Dudurugin Kita, which finally reached the 30-percent mark last Friday, and 24 Oras took the third andfourth positions alternately, while Pinoy Big Brother Teen Edition Plus isconsistent at No. 5 even during the weekend.
