More than any other comeback, KC Concepcion is excited about her mom's upcoming movie with Star Cinema titled Caregiver.
"Love na love niya 'yong gumawa ng pelikula," KC said about the Megastar yesterday,April 2, during a visit to the Marco Polo Care Center in Makati City.
Although Sharon Cuneta never took a leave of absence—having a TV show, CD releases, a concert, and endorsements under her name in the past two years—it's been a while since the public last saw the Megastar gracing the big screen.
"Since matagal na siyang hindi nakakagawa ng pelikula, sana this year will be really engrande for her," KC added with obvious excitement.
She also couldn't help but compare the hype created by her father, Gabby Concepcion—who recently arrived in the country to resume his stalled showbiz career—with the buzz around her mom's forthcoming movie.
"As much as pinagkakagulahan ang Papa ko ngayon, wala pa ‘yon compared sa comeback ng mom ko," she beamed. "Sana talagang matuwa ang tao dahil ang ganda-ganda ng project niya ngayon. Hindi puwedeng hindi maganda ang gawin ng Star Cinema for my mom."
MOM & DAUGHTER TANDEM. During last week's press conference of KC's month-long drama anthology I Am KC, the lovely model-actress expressed her desire to do a movie with her mother.
KC believes that doing a project, even if it's a one-shot deal, with her famous mom will leave a lasting mark. "Mapapakita mo ‘yon for generations to come, di ba?" she quipped.
It is common knowledge that KC used to accompany her mom to shoots when she was just a toddler. Now that she's also into acting, the prospect of working with her mom is no longer remote.
Almost giddily, she said, "Kung dati rati nanonood lang ako sa kanya mag-shooting, it would be nice kung pareho na kaming nasa camera."
Very much a proud daughter, KC happily announced: "Idol ko naman si Sharon Cuneta, e! Sharonian naman ako!"
