Happily married Aga Muhlach openly admires Anne Curtis

When asked to rate the sexiness of Anne Curtis, Aga Muhlach says, "Hindi siya bababa ng otso [8]." The two stars are paired together for the first time in the Star Cinema-Viva Films' co-production When Love Begins.

Aga Muhlach openly admits that he admires his new leading lady, Anne Curtis. He got to know her better while they were shooting their movie When Love Begins in Boracay. This Star Cinema-Viva Films' co-production will open in theaters nationwide on April 30.

"People look at Anne—beautiful, sexy—but hindi nila alam how is she as a daughter, as a friend, and as a person," says the actor about the 23-year old TV host-actress. "People see her on MTV hosting, she's on TV for commercials but this girl works. She's been working for how many years. Responsible siya."

What does he like about Anne?

"I just admire her lang. May moments na...you just wanna take care of her. Pero hindi para i-take advantage. You help her try to fix whatever problems she has. Nasasabi ko na lang, ‘Kung binata ako, Diyos ko!'"

Aga paused a moment as if recollecting his thoughts and the press urged him to continue with his statement about him and Anne.

"Hindi naman mawawala yun and I even tell my wife about it. But remember, sa lahat ng pelikulang ginawa ko simula nang mag-asawa ako, I never went into that angle of loving my leading lady. I don't mean it that way. People accept me for what I am and who I am...for my status now as a married man. And I'm just so grateful."

Aga was asked a hypothetical question: If he were a single guy, would he fall for a woman like Anne Curtis?

"I just want to make this right. I am happily married. Naglalaro tayo ng question and answer...If I were single, yes! She's one girl I would really love to take care of. She deserves it," declares Aga.

He adds: "I tell my wife. You can't take it away from us guys. We see someone beautiful, I say, ‘Ang ganda nun!' Alangan namang may dumaan na maganda, sabihin ko, ‘Ang pangit naman nun.' Kapag may dumaang sexy, mapapa-uy! But then it stops. I know my limitations. Don't cross over."

Does Charlene open up to him about her crushes? "Wala. Hindi ko tinatanong...ako lang kasi madaldal, e. Ako lang kuwento nang kuwento sa kanya, e, kaya mahal na mahal ko asawa ko."

"My wife will always be behind me. My wife trusts me completely. Even when I say that when I shoot a movie, I want the presence of love there...she understands that. Because it's my craft, that's how I work. When I have a movie, since once a year lang ako or once every two years, she gives that to me," says a grateful Aga.

While shooting When Love Begins, Aga points out that he is very hands-on. "Nagbabantay talaga ako sa editing, sa rushes para yung ibang scenes na hindi maayos, ire-reshoot pa namin kung puwedeng ihabol. Kahit sa trailer, kasama ko sa gumawa nun. Even kay Gary [Valenciano, who sang the theme song of the movie], ako ang tumawag."

The curious members of the press asked about his upcoming projects. The matinee idol says he has separate projects lined up pairing him with Claudine Barretto and Angel Locsin. Regal Entertainment's Lily Monteverde also wants him to do a movie with Marian "Marimar" Rivera.

Aga also is interested to do an indie film but he says that he wants to produce it himself.

SUMMER FLING. Since this movie is about summer love, PEP took the opportunity to ask Anne Curtis if she has had a summer fling in the past. She responds by saying, "Summer fling? Let's just put it this way. May na-meet ako during the summer pero walang summer love."

Did she meet him here in the Philippines or abroad? "Nangyari sa Boracay," she says with a smile.

When Aga was asked this question, he simply exclaimed, "Panginoon!" before flashing his bedimpled smile as if relishing the memories of his bachelor days. To this, the members of the press joked and said that he develops romantic relationships not only during the summer but all year round.
