Rufa Mae Quinto bound to star in four movies this year

Sexy comedienne Rufa Mae Quinto is most likely to repeat her box-office success last year with four movies lined up for her this year.

Konti na lang ang ginagawang mainstream movies ngunit last year, nakatatlong pelikula si Rufa Mae Quinto, na pawang naging blockbuster lahat: Apat Dapat, Dapat Apat for Viva Films; Pasukob for OctoArts Films; and Desperadas for Regal Entertainment.

This year, 2008, hitsurang siya muli ang tatangghaling busiest female lead star dahil kung matutuloy, makaka-apat na pelikula siya.

Palabas pa rin sa sinehan ang una niyang movie for the year, Regal Entertainment's Manay Po 2: Overload, kung saan kasama siya sa mga new cast of the sequel to the hit 2006 movie starring Cherry Pie Picache, John Prats, Polo Ravales, and Jiro Manio, sa direction ni Joel Lamangan.

Kauuwi pa lang ni Rufa Mae from a 10-day shoot sa isang cruise ship based in Europe for the GMA Films movie I.T.A.L.Y.

This is a collaboration of her own company OnQ 28 Productions and Viva Films na may tentative title na Civil Status: Single. This is to be written and directed by Joey Reyes, at dalawang ABS-CBN Star Magic actors ang makakasama niya, sina Jon Avila at Will Devaughn.

She will portray Muruha, a taong-dagat character na walang buntot.

Bukod dito, nakagawa pa si Rufa Mae ng isang album for Viva Records entitled Four Sides of Rufa Mae. May apat na kanta ang laman ng lite-CD, her versions of "All This Time," "Dadalhin," "Tila," and "Ocean Deep."

Rufa Mae returns to Viva as contract artist for Viva Artist Agency. Dito rin siya nagsimula kung kaya't coming home lang ito for the sexy comedienne. She also recently signed an exclusive two-year contract with GMA-7, reportedly worth thirty-million pesos.
