Instead of minding all the intrigues thrown at her, MarielRodriguez simply ignores them. In fact, the TV host-actress admitted that she has become moreopen in answering questions about her.
At the media junket prepared for Mariel by her newestproduct endorsement, Zen Zest, at The Spa, Bonifacio High Street inTaguig City, the Entertainment Live! host told PEP (PhilippinesEntertainment Portal) that she just lets her detractors do their thing.
"Basta ako, I'm just doingmy best, di ba? 'Tapos as much aspossible, I try to be more positive siguro.
So, ganun talagasiguro."
The 24-year-old TV host-actress gave credit to Pinoy Big Brother, where she became a celebrity houseguest for several weeks, for becomingstronger in taking all these intrigues.
She said, "You know what, after my PBB experience,it really made me a stronger person. Lahat kaya ko na after that, and it's true. At first, I thought my world is going to fall apart becausepeople didn't understand me. But then,it was just magnified."
Mariel also believes she should not hide anything fromthe public, especially she's hosting an entertainment talk show. Besides, she added, she has nothing tohide.
ENTERTAINMENT TURNS ONE. Aside from getting more endorsements, Mariel is also glad that her weekly entertainment talk show with Toni Gonzaga, Bianca Gonzalez, and Luis Manzano has survived its firstyear.
"Alam mo, I can't believe it. Imagine, one year na kami sa Entertainment Live. Kahit papaano, we survived," exclaimedMariel.
Mariel admitted that initially, they were afraid since sheand her co-hosts would be competing with the longest-running entertainment talkshow in the country, Startalk. They used to wonder, "'Kaya kaya'?
So grateful kami, thankful kami nakahit papaano maraming mga nanonood. So, sobrang thank you."
For their anniversary celebration, Marielpromised that their episode on Saturday, August 16, would be exciting. "Kaabang-abang talaga ang episodenamin this Saturday kasi... Basta, controversial 'yong mga in-interviewnamin. Kaming lahat, isa-isa. Exciting talaga ang Entertainment Live saSabado."
As for the next episodes, Mariel said that their storieswould be juicier and she would be more confident in asking theirguests.
"Hindi na kami natatakot," Mariel said. "We're not afraid to ask questionsanymore. Kasi sa job natin, it's hardsometimes, di ba? Kasi mahirap rin patitayo masangkot or whatever, di ba? Trabaho mo'yon. It's your duty sa public namatanong ang mga gusto nilang malaman na sagot."
