Last June, news came out that Embassy Bar and Restaurant wasclosing down due to an alleged brawl between a customer and a DJ, who wasreported to be an employee of the bar. Tim Yap, co-owner and events organizer of Embassy, immediatelyclarified that the reported DJ was not an Embassy Bar staff.
In a statement he sent to PEP (PhilippineEntertainment Portal), he stated that, "Embassy does not condone incidents ofthis nature and assures that it take the necessary measures to ensure that suchincidents are prevented in the future." (Click here to read full statement )
PEP spotted Tim at The Spa, Bonifacio High Street in TaguigCity during the launching of Zen Zest's newest endorser last night, August14. There we asked for an update aboutthe Embassy Bar.
"Sa Embassy, we're fully open na. We're fully operational," Tim told PEP. "Everything is back tonormal. We're much better and securityis... I mean, we made sure that Embassy is not only the most fun place to partyin Manila, but it's also the safest."
He took the opportunity to clarify againthat the DJ who allegedly started the fight was in no way connected to theEmbassy Bar.
He explained, "Hindi totoo 'yon. Lumalabas nga na personnel from Embassy. Actually, he was the emcee for the night, hindi siya deejay. Mali 'yongnapabalita sa diyaryo na employee, na deejay namin. Wala kaming deejay na nambugbog. He was the emcee for thatnight."
The eventologist accepted the fact thatnegative write-ups about him and his business are normal.
"Alam mo, mahirap talaga," he confided. "Kasama 'yan sa posisyon, kasama sa lugar, kasama sa napili naming industriya na we're susceptible to intrigues andaccusations and all that. Kasamatalaga."
While it's business as usual for Embassy, they have made some changes. "Ngayon, we encourage people to go out and party earlier parathey can go home earlier. You know, bytwo-thirty, three o' clock, they're at home already. So, perfect they can go home earlier and be productive the nextday."
He ended, "So far, so good. We're working to make it better, as as we always want to do."
