No commitment still for Kim Chiu and Gerald Anderson

Popular young actress Kim Chiu, 18, animatedly snickered when asked about her love life: "Wala namang nanliligaw sa ‘kin e, ewan ko ba." Thechinita actress stressed, however, that she is not in a hurry to have a special someone.

It is a thought thatconstantly excites the fans of Kim Chiu and Gerald Anderson. Unfortunately, thereality of the two hooking up together for real remains elusive upto now.

"Ay nag-usap na kami,"Kim told the members of the entertainment press in an interview yesterday,September 16, at the Annabel's restaurant on Tomas Morato, Quezon City. Theinterview coincides with Kim's launching as the first celebrity endorser ofBioclear food supplement.

She and Gerald arestill good friends, stressed Kim, and they're happy and contented being alove team. From the looks of it, both young stars are extremely cautiousnot to strain their professional relationship, which they put above anything else.

"Nag-usap na kami ganunna lang walang commitment," Kim reiterated, "mas maganda ‘yong hindi kamimag-aaway, wala, wala lahat."

BEYONDGERALD. The recent box-office success of John Lloyd Cruz andSarah Geronimo's movie, A Very SpecialLove, seems to inspire ABS-CBN management to once in a while reshuffle itstalents and pair them with others outside their respective love team partners.

Just recently, Kim waspaired with Matt Evans in Maalaala MoKaya. Fellow young talent Enchong Dee was very vocal in expressing hisadmiration for the chinita actress.

Kim said she's fine withthe idea of working with other talents since it prevents things from going staleand too predictable when it comes to her craft and for the audience as well interms of variety.

"Pero I know hindi pookay ‘yon sa mga fans," she readily acknowledged, pertaining to the loyal Kimeraldfans who would surely move heaven and earth just to preserve Kim and Gerald'standem.

Asked about Enchong'sbold declaration of his feelings, Kim playfully replied: "Siyemprenagpapasalamat ako kay Enchong kasi sinabi niya sa inyong lahat na nagkakagustosiya sa akin. Kahit papaano may nagkakagusto rin pala sa ‘kin. Mabait naman siEnchong, sa taping nag-uusap kami."

The Pinoy Big Brother Teen Edition alumnathough is careful not to take Enchong's word very seriously as she's well awareof the young actor's alleged "chickboy" reputation.


When informed thatEnchong likewise announced nurturing a crush on Empress Shuck, Kim bantered lightheartedly,"Ay, sinabi din ba ni Enchong ‘yon? Naku si Enchong talaga, chickboy!"

SAVINGUP FOR HER FAMILY. Kim is currently eyeing ahouse to purchase for her family in their native hometown of Cebu.

"Naghahanap pa po mgakapatid ko. Sa Cebu po ako unang magpapatayo kasi dito ako lang naman mag-isa, ‘yongmga kapatid ko na lang po muna," she admiringly shared.

Kim's career continues to be rosy, what with the recent big success of her primetimeseries My Girl, plus numerousendorsement deals. There is no question her bankability as ayoung celebrity.

Speaking about her fearsin the face of growing achievements, Kim seriously echoed the common concernvoiced out by any public figure expected to deliver always.

"Kinakabahan siyemprekasi 'yong mga tao may time din po na nagsasawa sila na ikaw yong magustuhannila, pero tina-try ko pa rin naman po lahat ng makakaya kong gawin parama-maintain ko po. Hindi ko maku-control 'yong mga tao kung magsasawa na sila saakin," Kim said seriously.

"Nagpapasalamat ako siyempresa mga taong sumusuporta sa amin ni Gerald. Siyempre kasi nandiyan pa rin silakahit ano'ng mangyari, [kahit] anong mga intriga, kahit anong role namin nandunpa rin sila gustung-gustong pa rin nila kami. Nasa mga taong sumusuporta po ‘yonkaya 'ayun, thankful din ako."
