One of the best selling points of YES! magazine is its features on celebrity homes. Readers avidly look forward to entering the private rooms of their showbiz idols, even if only in photos.
Another of the magazine's come-ons is that readers want "to copy, to admire, to aspire for, to satisfy a curiosity about people who seem so priviledged," YES! editor-in-chief Jo-Ann Maglipon writes.
In this year's collection, celebrity homes are presented in three categories: houses, condos, and rest houses.
The Number One entertainment magazinetakes readers for the first time into the houses of Nikki Gil, Kris Bernal, Onemig Bondoc, and returns readers to the abodes of Ai-Ai delas Alas, Ara Mina, Jinkee Pacquiao, Yasmien Kurdi, and Dr. Vicki Belo. Here, too, are homes of celebrity couples David & Jessica Bunevacz, Bong Revilla & Lani Mercado, and Carmina Villarroel & Zoren Legaspi.
In the section on condominium living, YES! also gives tips on maximizing the limited space of condo units. Take the unit of former Pinoy Big Brother housemate Kian Kazemi: "Because space is limited, your furniture choices become even more crucial."
In Jaymee Joaquin's condo, YES! explains the prominent Biedermeier furniture, which was popular among the middle class of Central Europe, Germany, Austria, and Sweden between 1815 and 1850. "The popularity of Biedermeier furniture was based on its comparative cheapness, simplicity, and practicality."
This section also includes the condos of commercial and ramp model Priscilla Meirelles, news reporter Karen Davila, and entertaiment columnist Butch Francisco.
The last section featuring six rest houses should not be missed. Here are the spacious yet cozy spots in the rest houses of Eat Bulaga excutive producer Malou Choa-Fagar, director Soxie Topacio, and James Cooper.
Young actress Denise Laurel leads us to the grand Laguna vacation house of her grandfather, the late Vice President Salvador "Doy" Laurel.
Also in this section are the houses of theater director Jun Pablo, which reflects his Christian beliefs and family values, and that of artist Joey Luna, which shows his knowledge and passion for art.
