Actress Gretchen Barretto has always been willing to answer almost all issues thrown at her in interviews. She gamely talks about people whom she had misunderstandings with and bravely admits the "kisscandal" she had with actor John Estrada. But if there's something she wouldn't talk about in public, it would be her family.
This was what she requested when the entertainment press asked her about her partner, Tonyboy Cojuangco, and the upcoming wedding anniversary of her parents, after the fashion show of Ivarluski Aseron last November 13 at the lobby of Shangri-La Hotel in Makati City.
Briefly, Gretchen said that Tony is currently in Boston, U.S.A. for his regular treatment and will probably return before his birthday on November 26.
When a reporter asked further about Tonyboy, Gretchen requested, "Huwag na natin siyang pag-usapan.
This was also her mood when the subject shifted to the 50th wedding anniversary of her parents this November. In fact, when asked if she's going to the planned celebration for her parents, Gretchen said, "Alam mo, ayaw kong pag-usapan 'yan dahil ayaw kong nandoon kayo, ayaw kong isipin ninyo, ‘Ay, nandoon si Gretchen, halika, kunan natin' or ‘Ay, wala si Gretchen huwag tayong pumunta.'
Although she did not directly answer whether she will attend or not the golden wedding anniversary of her parents, the 38-year-old actress said, "I don't wanna talk about it. I'm okay with all my brothers and sisters.
BONDING WITH SISTERS. Gretchen did not really have her lips sealed when asked about the people who are close to her. In the interview, she also shared her current relationship with her siblings, especially with her elder sister Gia, who is in the country for the wedding anniversary celebration of their parents.
Gretchen's quick updates went, "Marjorie is very okay, very happy.
"Si Gia, parati naman kaming magkasama except that today nasa Subic siya with my dad.
She also said that she's aware that her younger sister Claudine was hospitalized recently for low blood pressure. (Click here to read related article )
Siya pa kaya, three times a week, 24 hours a day, di ba? Per taping, talagang magkakasakit ka."In the end, she joked, "Ano 'yon, e, sakit na talaga ng Barretto 'yon. Sakit na talaga namin 'yon. Ang sakit namin ganda at low blood!"
