"Okay naman po ako. May asawa pa rin ako... Sabihin ko na paratapos na!"
This was the preamble of Sharon Cuneta during the Q&A portion of the presscon for Ronald McDonalds House Charities, which announced the Megastar'snew role as a brand ambassador earlier this afternoon, November 20, at McDonalds inGreenbelt 1, Makati City.
The multi-awarded actress was, of course, referring to the tworumors that keep on harrying her married life: (1) She and her husband, SenatorKiko Pangilinan, are already separated. (2) Her husband of 12 years has an"other woman."
Sharon was obviously frustrated over the recurring issues.
"Kanya-kanyang gawa ng istorya. Maykonting..." she began her statement.
Then she added in a calmer tone, "Okay po kami, don't worry."
But she has a theory: the perpetrators belong to thepolitical arena.
And to settle the issue once and for all, she stressed: "Masayapo kami, never po kaming naghiwalay."
UPCOMING MOVIE WITHRICHARD GOMEZ. The status, according to Shawie, is dependent on her "diet."
"Sabi nga niya[Richard], ‘the ball is in my court because I have to lose weight,'" Shawierelated.
The Megastar said she's very excited about the movie because"it has a beautiful story." To date, the script is "almost done" and the shooting date is "just a matter of being physically ready and ready to shoot anytime."
Theprized star of Kapamilya network gave a tip-off on what to expect.
She revealed, "May flashback... It's madrama, e. Before, they dropped Mexico ‘tapos Hawaii. I'm not sure kung saanba talaga, but most of it, dito [sa Pilipinas]."
KIKO'S POLITICALPLANS. So, is she going to be the next First Lady?
Sharon was quick to say, "No." She said her senator-husband is not yetgearing up for Elections 2010. Mega even recalled that Kiko's strategy to runas independent last May 2007 was not a result of long-term planning.
She said with pride, "Pero siya [Kiko] lang tanging senator natumakbo ng independent at nanalo ulit."
The actress-host-singer gave non-committal answers to allpolitics-related queries of the press.
One thing she's definite about though—if her husband runsagain, "Kahit anong gawin niya, hundred percent ang suporta ko. Asawa ko yun, e..."
Lastly, showbiz writer Julie Bonifacio asked Sharon's "squaringoff" with ex-husband Gabby Concepcion. The mom of KC politely refused to giveany answer and simply said that everything in her world is now "okay."
