"Huwag na kayong masyadong ma-tense kasi okay naman si Papa," Meryll Soriano told PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal) during the Ploning Foundation launch last February 22 at Dolce Bar in Quezon City. The eldest daughter of Willie Revillame clarified reports regarding the host's health condition after he was hospitalized at St. Luke's Hospital last Sunday, February 15.
Meryll clarified that Willie did not collapse. Her father simply went for an executive checkup at St. Luke's Hospital.
Meryll also disclaimed reports that Willie underwent angioplasty.
Meryll also said that her father has to stay in the hospital because of the blockage and fatigue. Willie also frequently forgets to eat lunch because of Wowowee's noontime slot.
I mean, yung buong production, sa lahat ng bumubuo ng Wowowee, they're really making their best effort for the show to be good for the people.
She also expressed her appreciation to the people who continue to support her father and his noontime show.
When asked to give her message to her dad, she says: "Magpahinga ka Pa, at saka kumain kang mabuti, 'wag mong kakalimutan 'yon. Saka if you have a chance to rest, rest.
When will the main man of Wowowee return to the show?
Meryll said that her father would most probably come back to the show after resting for a week.
In the meantime, guest hosts such as Randy Santiago and Piolo Pascual have been asked to helm the noontime show of the Kapamilya Network.
ON HER SON ELIJAH. With regards to her son Elijah, Meryll observed that he is growing up fast.
Tapos ayun nga, mahilig sa car, lalaking-lalaki sa awa ng Diyos," she said about her son with estranged husband Bernard Palanca.
Meryll also said that Lolo Willie is very close to his grandson Eli. He even has a tendency to spoil the child.
It will be remembered that the January 2009 issue of YES! Magazine featured the houses and vehicles of Willie, who is said to own 11 luxury cars.
The mag-lolo usually spend quality time at Willie's yacht or just simply hang out at his house and spend the day playing.
According to Meryll, Bernard also visits his son Elijah if he has time.
When asked about her relationship and communication with her ex-husband, she replied: "Wala, wala kaming relasyon."
The actress, who is now part of the ABS-CBN show I Love Betty La Fea, said that they only get the chance to talk when Bernard visits them and brings supplies for Elijah.
