Bea Alonzo loses 15 pounds for And I Love You So

Bea Alonzo, who will star in And I Love You So, says yoga helped her lose weight.

In the presscon for her new movie And I Love You So last June 19, actress Bea Alonzo said that she persevered to lose weight for the movie.

"Actually, kailangan talaga ng pelikula, and I'm working on reinventing myself again. Siguro parang another Bea ang makikita dito sa movie and parang siguro, parang gusto ko, I want to become a woman, para may iba akong mai-offer sa mga tao," said the homegrown ABS-CBN star.

Bea said she takes care of her weight by doing yoga, and monitoring her carborhydrates intake. She's very happy to have lost 15 pounds.

Saka it helped also dun sa character na medyo mataba.

Feeling ko, because as you age, you know kung ano ang worth mo, alam mo kung ano ang kaya mong gawin, kung ano ang value mo as a person," the actress said.

But does this mean she's now open to posing for sexy photos in men's magazines?

"Ay, walang ganun! Hindi ko pa kayang ganun. Sobrang bilib sa mga nagko-cover because they're very comfortable with their bodies. Siguro kung fashion magazine, and I'm gonna model clothes.

NEW MOVIE. And I Love You So is Bea's 8th movie under Star Cinema, a movie company under ABS-CBN. It is directed by Laurenti Dyogi, and tells the story of a young widow who meets another man to love.

"Malapit nang matapos [ang movie]. Hinihintay lang namin si Direk Lauren because he's still in London. But we're really happy sa tinakbo... And I really loved the lines, yung tipong tatama na lang sa 'yo kahit ikaw yung magde-deliver, hindi mo na kailangang mag-motivate," sheexplained.

How was it like working with two hunks Sam Milby and Derek Ramsay who play Bea's screen partners?

"Mayroon ding intimate scene with Derek. With Derek, I was comfortable, kasi si Derek sobrang professional niya. He's a very good actor at napaka-professional niya," said Bea.

And I Love You So,slated for screening on August 12,will be the sixth offering of Star Cinema for its 16th anniversary this year, after Love Me Again, You Changed My Life, T2, BFF, and the coming-soon horror movie Villa Estrella.
