John Lloyd Cruzfound it hard to let go of his gay character in In My Life

Pero siyempre, iba talaga kapag ikaw na, parang pine-play mo na, pino-portray mo na ang character," says John Lloyd Cruz about gay lovers, which is main theme of his upcoming movie In My Life.

"This has to be the most challenging, the most beautiful journey na na-tackle ko in my entire career," stated actor John Lloyd Cruz about the character he portrays in his latest movie, Star Cinema's In My Life, which he co-stars with Star For All Seasons and Batangas Governor Vilma Santos and her son Luis Manzano.

In an interview with the 26-year-old actor yesterday, September 1, he said that he had a hard time letting go of his gay character, Noel, in the movie during their last days of shooting.

"A few days ago, hindi ko maintindihan kung bakit emotional ako that day.

John Lloyd admitted that the Pinoy audience might not be too open about the theme of In My Life, or him playing a gay role. However, he said that through this movie, he was able to show what else he can offer to the public.

So sana bigyan nila ng chance and when they finally see it, sana magustuhan nila.

GAYS ARE MORE PASSIONATE. John Lloyd's portrayal of Noel's character also taught him how passionate gay lovers are in a relationship.

As you can see, my character is gay.

So, parang feeling ko, lahat sila mas buo, mas passionate, mas matindi."

John Lloyd also compared his previous characters with his role in In My Life.

He said, "I was able to look at love from a different perspective.

Does he think he'll win another acting award with this film?

I just wanted to please myself," John Lloyd replied.
