As part of fulfilling her promise to her late mother, TV host-actress Kris Aquino promises to give extra effort to spending quality time with her four siblings—Ballsy Aquino-Cruz, Pinky Aquino-Abellada, Noynoy Aquino, and Viel Aquino-Dee—this Christmas break. This is the only wish of the youngest child of the late Ninoy and Cory Aquino for Christmas.
"Simple lang ang hinihingi ko, kasi lahat kami are so busy na," she said in a recent interview with PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal). "Hindi na kami nagkikita-kita, text and tawag na lang. I was reminded by my ate [Ballsy] last night, kasi we try to go to the Mass together every Saturdays, sinusubukan talaga na it's a day off for me. So, my ate was saying that we have to make it a point talaga to keep close ties no matter if one person is in this province.
"What my mom wanted was to make sure we're there for each other. So gusto kong effort-an talaga 'yon. Sila 'yong nagsasabi, 'Ikaw naman ang pinaka-busy, e. Para makita ka namin, kailangan yata pumunta na kami sa SNN.' Sabi ko, 'Korek!'"
CHILD-CENTERED CHRISTMAS BREAK. Aside from celebrating with her sisters and brother, Kris also plans to go out of the country during Christmas break.
"We're lucky kasi I saw James's schedule. Kasi, he has a Christmas- Day game but they have a break. So, at least we'll be able to go take the kids abroad kahit mga three or four days lang," she said.
She also revealed during the Boardwalk event held last month that she had already booked a flight going to Singapore for her family.
"Kasi Baby James hasn't been there," Kris explained. "The only reason we wanna go is he's so in love with anything aquatic. E, di ba, meron sila noong underwater world sa Sentosa? Tapos si Josh, love na love niya ang fountains, e, mayroon silang dancing fountain and light show, 'tapos mayroon silang duck tour. E, lahat naman ng bakasyon namin, kailangan talaga child-centered. So, 'yon talaga ang gagawin namin."
Aside from SNN and The Buzz, Kris is busy taping for her upcoming television series, Kung Tayo'y Magkakalayo. Kris also has a guest appearance in one of the entries of Regal Entertainment to the Metro Manila Film Festival, Mano Po 6: A Mother's Love.
