Atsaka lahat ng emotions ko po nilalagay ko po sa bawat eksena kaya po siguro maganda 'yong lumalabas po," said Empress Schuck when asked about how she managed to do her dramatic roles in her past TV and movie projects.

After so many years, Empress Schuck will finally have a teleserye of her own via ABS-CBN Star TV's Rosalka. She was even dubbed as the "Empress of Drama" during the media conference prepared for her yesterday, April 14, at the iRepublik restaurant on Tomas Morato, Quezon city.

Empress, who has been in show business for almost 10 years, has proven her acting ability by playing challenging roles in several memorable Maalaala Mo Kaya episodes. She has also received an acting recognition for portraying the role of Sandy in the Piolo Pascual-Donita Rose movie 9 Mornings in 2003.

Her other previous TV projects include Super Inggo, Abt Ur Luv (2007) Star Magic Presents: Astigs (2008), Your Song Presents: Underage (2009), Agimat: Mga Alamat ni Ramon Revilla: Pepeng Agimat (2010).

In movies, she was part of the cast of Angel (2007) Resiklo (2007), Magkaibigan (2008), BFF (2009), and Ang Darling Kong Aswang (2009), and other independent films like Hilot (2009)and Pasang Krus (2009).

"Masaya po ako. Hindi pa rin po ako makapaniwala. Parang ngayon lang po ako naging proud sa sarili ko," the 17-year-old actress told PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal) and other members of the press when asked about how she felt being formally launched as an actress.

Although Empress is very grateful to ABS-CBN for trusting her with a big project like Rosalka, she still doesn't think that this automatically makes her a better actress.

Gusto ko pong mag-level up pa. So, feeling ko po ngayon, hindi pa po ako mature sa pagiging artista," said Empress.

She also mentioned that the title "Empress of Drama" somehow puts pressure on her as an actress.

FEELING OF IMPATIENCE. It took a while before Empress was given an attention such as this. In fact, some noticed that she was left behind by other young actresses, who have just joined show business—the examples given by some entertainment media were Andi Eigenmann and Erich Gonzales.

Did she feel impatient while waiting for the big break to come?

Now that she's finally given her own share of spotlight in ABS-CBN, is she willing to do anything to avoid losing this kind of attention?

The young Kapamilya actress also believes that she's ready to take any intrigue that may be thrown at her in the future.

NO TO KISSING SCENE. During the press conference, Empress was very firm in saying that she's not going to do kissing scenes yet. At 17, she said, it's not yet proper to do such thing onscreen because she can influence the viewers who are still her age.

What if this could be a hindrance to the further success of her showbiz career?

Empress will be joined by young actors Matt Evans and Felix Roco in Rosalka, which will be directed by Jeffrey Jeturian.
