(CLICK HERE to read related story.)
Pahayag niya na may halong biro, "This is my first case, so, medyo excited! It's exciting... If it's true, I wanna win. I want to set a standard for other celebrities and other one-sided contracts. I don't know..."
Pero, inamin niyang meron din siyang pangamba. "Of course, right now, part of me is worried. But part of me is rather excited..." dagdag pa niya.
"I really don't understand it very well," aniya.
NO FUTURE IN GMA.
"Siyempre, when that comes from the head of your production or your channel, you'd think that they don't like you. Or they don't value your contribution sa istasyon," sabi ni Mo.
"I really have no idea! Ang weird nga, e. I mean... That's the problem with this meeting, e [with Ms. Wilma]. She just told me that. Sabi niya, 'You don't have a future here, we don't have plans for you, we can't do anything.'
"Hindi naman ako nanghihingi ng extra shows. Hindi naman ako nanghihingi ng raise. Pero yun ang sabi niya sa akin, 'There's no future here for you.'
"I didn't sign up with GMA," saad ni Mo. "I just have a contract with the show. I'm not [a talent] of GMA Artist Center. I'm not a... They've not invested anything in me in terms of building me like a StarStruck-type of star...
"It's just... Kasi, I mean, I have three shows in ABS-CBN while I was doing Showbiz Central."
"I'm not a contract artist. I actually had more shows in ABS than in GMA. It's just that GMA is more sensitive about it," paliwanag ni Mo.
STUDIO'S OPTION TO RENEW.
Aniya, "That's the part that I don't understand na 100 percent yet now, kasi hindi ko alam kung... if the case is like that. So, as soon as I figure out what their problem is, then I can answer more on that."
"She's a friend of mine that I consulted on this. And again, until I know for sure that we're gonna go to court or may case talaga, that's when I would act accordingly siguro," dagdag pa niya.
Wala ba siyang sariling kopya ng pinirmahan niyang kontrata?
"I do, I do have a contract copy, but I really don't understand it very well... Well, as soon as I read the paper, kung ano ba sa contract ang they think I violated, at least alam ko kung ano ang nangyayari. And I'd know what my plans [would] be."
"I don't know, I don't know, kasi I don't know how it works.
Come on, two million is a lot of money! We're a country that struggles, you know.
"You give two million to any of our people, they'd be more than willing to do many things from that. It's not degrading naman!" tawa niya.
Kung magkataon, may two million ba siyang pambayad?
"Well, I've saved enough, I think!" tawa niya ulit. "But you know, two million is a lot with this kind of country. And maybe that's how much GMA thinks of all of this struggle, then, so be it. We'll see. I really don't know, I just read it on the papers."
"I DIDN'T DO ANYTHING WRONG."
"I don't know what the terms are, but I'm confident that I didn't do anything wrong," sagot niya.
Wala siyang nilabag na batas?
"I don't think so.
Sabad niya, "Especially with the fact that Wilma told me that she doesn't see me in GMA. Siyempre, you take one station that wants you and one station that doesn't want you, e, siyempre, you go with the one that wants you."
At muli itong nagkuwento tungkol sa huli niyang pakikipag-usap sa kanyang dating boss.
GALVANTE'S "COLD" LETTER.
"I asked them if I can be removed from my contract in advance, in April. Kasi, I wanted to start with Paparazzi. I praised the station for their opportunities. I thanked them, in writing 'yan.
"I wrote it... Kasi, you know, when I walk around, people would ask for my autograph. When I go to France, people would ask me for my picture. I know GMA has contributed to that kahit na papaano. Gano'n din ang ABS as well and my own radio show.
"I appreciate all the people that helped me, made me a celebrity because it means a lot to me. That's what my letter was.
Pero hindi gaya ng kanyang inaasahan, "The response [letter] was rather cold. There's no, 'We value you,' or 'You give us a good...' I just hoped they would be more Kapuso.
"Si Wilma wrote back to me and it was very cold... I think she has the reputation of being that way naman. I mean if you ask other talents from there who've met her... I think they'd say the same thing. I was just hoping sana... You know, naging medyo sentimental ako. I was a little bit softy.
"Then we met. That's when we talked, and that's when she said that my future there was not very good. But she said that she would help me. Sabi niya, 'I'll help you get out of the contract early, kasi 'yan ang gusto mo. Sabi niya, 'Okey naman. I'll do everything I can. It looks good naman. If you wanna leave us early, okey lang.
"My program manager was at the room at that time, so may witness... Yun nga, the letter was rude.
Aniya, "I think from the beginning. Wilma naman is a very loud person. It's like saying na kelan ba hindi tumaas ang boses ni Annabelle Rama? I don't know, I don't wanna believe anything. She's the head of production. She wrote me a letter. I was employed by the station or by the channel, so I think she's the immediate boss. But if you wanna ask my lawyer, she'd be here later," pagtatapos ni Mo.
SIDE OF GMA-7.
Atty. Perez said, "He wanted out of the contract. He made a request asking that he be released... Personally, I thought he will honor the contract." But, the lawyer added, Mo already began his hosting jobs with TV5.
