Kapamilya Teen King and Queen Daniel Padilla and Kathryn Bernardo draw flak in social media owing to photos showing them with their election ballots.
Under the rules and regulation of Commission on Elections (COMELEC), voters are strictly prohibited from taking photos of their election ballots to protect the sanctity and secrecy of the ballot.
Comelec also probihits any form of campaign materials inside the polling precincts, including wearing of campaign ballers and shirts.
Kathryn and Daniel themselves did not take nor post the controversial photos. The photos were taken by media reporters and were posted on ABS-CBN News Online's Twitter account earlier today.
As soon as the said photos circulated online, netizens quickly pointed out that posting photos of election ballots, whether shaded or blank, is considered an "election offense."
Daniel and Kathryn are both first-time voters.
As of press time, it has reached Comelec's attention that Daniel and Kathryn are among those who had their photos taken with their ballot.
