After reprising his role in the Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) hit movie, Ang Tanging Ina Mo (Last Na 'To), Carlo Aquino finally gets his first lead role.
He stars opposite Cristine Reyes in the horror-suspense film, Tumbok, directed by Topel Lee.
In the movie, Carlo plays Ronnie, the husband of Cristine.
"Ganito lang pala. Normal lang din," he said on landing the lead role. "Pero siyempre may pressure."
"Masaya ako at first movie ko 'to na lead role. Siyempre, ayoko din silang biguin," Carlo said when PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal) visited him on the movie set in Sta Cruz, Manila.
He gladly shared his experiences shooting his first horror movie.
"May ahas silang nakita kanina. Three shooting days ago, may sunog. Tapos may pumutok na ilaw diyan sa itaas nang kumakain kami," he said.
Carlo said he is also enjoying the company of his co-star, Cristine.
"Maingay [siya]. Malakas kumain. Para siyang bata na maingay," he said.
"Masarap ka-trabaho si Cristine. Pasok kaagad siya sa character. Alam niya yung dialogue niya," he observed.
LOVE TRIANGLE WITH JC AND JASMINE.
Saka may girlfriend na ako," Carlos said.
KEEPING QUIET ABOUT HIS LOVE LIFE. "Ayan na naman. Basta masaya ako," he said when asked about his plans for Valentine's Day.
"Never na kasi ako nagsalita. Very personal at private kasi ang love life ko. As much as possible, ayoko muna i-kwento.
He admits he has a girlfriend when people ask.
The 25-year old actor said he plans to settle down eventually.
"Siguro mga five or six years pa. Matagal pa," he said.
He has prepared himself for a more quiet life and has started investing in property. He has a small farm in Tarlac and a lot in Parañaque.
