The unlikely romance between a social worker and the President's son has captured the fancy of moviegoers.

Topbilled by Viva talent Sarah Geronimo and ABS-CBN talent Gerald Anderson, Catch Me I'm in Love earned "almost 15 million" during its opening day last March 23, 2011. This, according to Star AdProm director Roxy Liquigan through a text message sent earlier today.

In the film, directed by Mae Cruz, Sarah plays Roan of Caloocan while Gerald is cast as Erick of MalacaƱang.

In previous romantic flicks, the Popstar Princess essayed the role of Laida Magtalas, an office worker who enters into a relationship with her boss Miggy Montenegro (portrayed by John LloydCruz).

Their tandem proved to be a success. A Very Special Love (2008) and You Changed My Life (2009) both rocked the box office.

According to Star Cinema, A Very Special Love earned P14 million on its opening day while its sequel, You Changed My Life, is said to have reached P18 million on its first day of screening.

Sarah and John Lloyd's first movie together, A Very Special Love, is said to have grossed P180 million, while the follow-up movie, You Changed My Life, reached ticket sales of P240 million.

For this reason, Sarah and John Lloyd were hailed as the Box-Office King and Queen for two consecutive years by the Guillermo Mendoza Memorial Scholarship Foundation Inc.

With the strong start of Catch Me I'm in Love, it's possible that Sarah could re-claim her title as Box-Office Queen.
