Kantar Media-TNS National Household Ratings (April 29-May 1): AJ Perez’s Maalaala Mo Kaya episode ruled Saturday primetime

The late AJ Perez and child star Bugoy Cariño played brothers in the "Tsinelas" episode of Maalaala Mo Kaya, which was AJ’s final TV performance.

AJ Perez, who died in a vehicular accident last April 17, was the featured star in the "Tsinelas" episode of Maalaala Mo Kaya last Saturday, April 30.

That episode, which also starred child actor Bugoy Cariño, generated 34.3 percent—one of the highest ratings for the ABS-CBN drama anthology.

AJ’s MMK episode was also the highest-rating show last April 30, followed by Pilipinas Got Talent (27.5 percent) and Wansapanataym: Stickers (21.8 percent).

GMA-7’s Kapuso Mo Jessica Soho came in fourth with 16.5 percent, while TV Patrol Weekend of ABS-CBN and Mind Master of GMA-7 tied for fifth place.

Meanwhile, Rated K, the magazine show hosted by Korina Sanchez, topped the primetime race last Sunday, May 1.

It was followed by Pilipinas Got Talent (22.4 percent), Goin’ Bulilit (20.5 percent), TV Patrol Weekend (19.1 percent), and Kap’s Amazing Stories (17.7 percent) to complete the Top 5.

ABS-CBN primetime soap Mara Clara once again ruled the Friday (April 29) ratings with 32 percent; followed by Minsan Lang Kita Iibigin (29.5 percent) and Mutya (28.5 percent).

Two primetime shows ended last Friday—ABS-CBN’s Imortal, which posted a rating of 26.1 percent (No. 4), and GMA-7’s The Baker King, which got 18.9 percent (No. 6).

24 Oras’ coverage of the royal wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton also got a rating of 18.9 percent.

On the other hand, GMA-7 noontime show Eat Bulaga! topped the daytime race Friday and Saturday, while the Kapamilya Blockbusters offering Underdog ruled Sunday daytime.
