ABS-CBN said goodbye to the fantaserye Mutya last Friday, May 6, and welcomed the drama series 100 Days to Heaven last Monday, May 9, with a bang.
Both shows topped the primetime race on their last episode and pilot episode, respectively.
Mutya ended its run with 34.8 percent to lead all programs last Friday; followed by fellow Kapamilya programs Mara Clara (32.9 percent), Minsan Lang Kita Iibigin (32.8 percent), and TV Patrol (24.9 percent), and GMA-7’s Dwarfina (20.2 percent), which also aired its final episode that night.
100 Days to Heaven, on the other hand debuted with 32.1 percent to top the primetime race. It was followed by Minsan Lang Kita Iibigin (30.8 percent), Mara Clara (29.2 percent), TV Patrol (25.4 percent), and GMA-7 primetime newscast 24 Oras (21 percent) to complete the Top 5.
Kapuso soap Munting Heredera also had its debut last Monday, posting a 16.9 percent rating to take the No. 8 slot in the primetime race.
Manny Pacquiao’s fight against Shane Mosley was the biggest show last Sunday, May 8. Its telecast on GMA-7 posted a rating of 30.9 percent to lead all programs—whether daytime or primetime.
Maalaala Mo Kaya maintained its position as the No. 1 primetime program every Saturday with 27.1 percent, although it failed to match the rating generated by AJ Perez’s episode the previous week.
In the daytime race, GMA-7 Koreanovela Temptation of Wife has taken the lead from noontime program Eat Bulaga!.
