As expected, the slightly delayed telecast of the much-awaited Manny Pacquiao vs Shane Mosley fight on GMA-7 was the biggest attraction last Sunday, May 8.
The coverage posted an average rating of 18.1 percent based on the People/Individual ratings of AGB Nielsen among Mega Manila households.
Its nearest competitor in the daytime race was the television premiere of the movie Here Comes the Bride on ABS-CBN with 7.9 percent.
The top-rater in the primetime race last Sunday was the Mother’s Day presentation of the Kapuso reality sitcom Pepito Manaloto, which generated a 10.8 percent rating.
Last Monday night, May 9, saw the premiere of two primetime soaps—ABS-CBN’s 100 Days to Heaven and GMA-7’s Munting Heredera.
100 Days to Heaven was the more successful of the two new shows as it debuted at No. 1 with an impressive 13.4 percent.
Munting Heredera, on the other hand, tied with GMA-7’s primetime newscast 24 Oras at No. 4 with identical 11.7 percent ratings.
100 Days to Heaven and Munting Heredera replaced the timeslots of Mutya and Dwarfina, respectively, which both ended last Friday, May 6.
Mutya and Dwarfina ended their run in second and third place, respectively, behind Mara Clara.
