Maricel Laxa-Pangilinan on her showbiz career: "If you’ll ask me, I’d rather retire."

Maricel Laxa- Pangilinan is pregnant with her fifth child. Though not as visible in showbiz as before, she says that she has no plans of leaving the biz. "I think, my super high days in showbiz was maximized when I was single."

"For the past four years I didn’t even know na it’s been four years na."

"Well, I don’t have plans of stopping," sagot ng aktres.

"My show will continue finishing the season and the season runs for 18 episodes.

"After 18 episodes, we re-run it for another 18 episodes, while they’re just giving me time to recover, and then work for another season."

"When I just had gotten pregnant, there was an offer to do a soap opera," sagot niya.

"I think, my super high days in showbiz was maximized when I was single.

"When I married, I still continue to do my showbiz engagements but with a little more, parang, boundaries, with my time and my energy din has to be equally distributed, you know."

Nabanggit din ng aktres, "If you’ll ask me, I’d rather retire.

"But that’s only for my selfish ambition."

"My husband thinks it’s a waste if I retire in all my involvements, especially showbiz.

"Because that’s where you get the biggest impact, the chunk of whatever message that you wanna to get across is easily, nga, distributed to the people who are listening."

Katunayan, ilang libro na ang nasulat niya—Meet my Super Dad, I Love You Yaya at Superbenj. Ang huli ay nanalo ng Catholic Mass Media Award.

"For the last four years I also come out with a new children’s book.

"This year we’re working on two. Book one is a children’s book and the other one is a marriage book."

"Our family’s advocacy is mainly to educate," banggit niya.

"You disseminate the information to them through media.

"That’s why I continue to write for the Philippine Star, and it has been twelve years that I had my column."

HER NEW PASSION.

"My main job, aside from taking care of the family, is really conducting seminars.

"Especially parenting seminars."

"Usually, gagawin nila—time management, team building. But you will not hear words like balance.

"But now, we have so many clients having work-life balance seminars.

"Because they know that the only way they could be productive in the work place is if they have a happy family."
