AGB Nielsen Mega Manila People & Household Ratings (May 31-June 2): Mara Clara, Munting Heredera, and Amaya share primetime lead

(Clockwise) Teen superstars Kathryn Bernardo and Julia Montes of Mara Clara; new child sensation Mona Louise Rey in Munting Heredera; and GMA-7 primetime queen Marian Rivera as Amaya.

Primetime race becomes more exciting as three different shows occupied the top slot from the period of May 31 to June 2 (Tuesday to Thursday)

ABS-CBN’s Mara Clara maintained the top position Tuesday and Wednesday in both the People and Household ratings.

But Thursday saw different leaders in the People and Household ratings.

In the People ratings, GMA-7’s Munting Heredera took the number one slot.

But in the Household ratings, Kapuso network’s epicserye Amaya tied with Mara Clara for the top position.

Interestingly, Amaya and Mara Clara also tied for second place in the People ratings; while Munting Heredera occupied that slot in the Household ratings.

Since the debut of Amaya last Monday, it should be noted that other Kapuso primetime shows all improved its ratings—Secret Garden, Captain Barbell, and 24 Oras.

ABS-CBN’s 100 Day Days To Heaven, on the other hand, maintained its strong showing.

Other Kapamilya shows also doing well are Minsan Lang Kita Iibigin, TV Patrol, and The Biggest Loser Pinoy Edition.

While primetime was a very tight race, the daytime race is solely dominated by GMA-7 noontime show Eat Bulaga!.

Kapuso afternoon soaps (Nita Negrita, Blusang Itim, Sisid, and Playful Kiss) and animes (Slam Dunk and Ghost Fighter) occupy the higher bracket of the ratings game.

The remaining slots are being contested by TV5’s Face To Face and ABS-CBN’s Showtime and My Girlfriend Is A Gumiho.

Here are the comparative ratings of ABS-CBN, TV5, and GMA-7 programs based on overnight ratings of AGB Nielsen Phils. among Mega Manila households from May 31 to June 2, 2011.
