Victoria Beckham has given birth to a baby girl.
The fashion designer and her soccer star husband David Beckham—who already have three sons, Brooklyn, 12, Romeo, 8, and six-year-old Cruz, together—welcomed their daughter into the world Sunday morning (July 10) at Los Angeles Cedars Sinai hospital.
David and Victoria have named their newborn daughter Harper Seven.
The soccer superstar—who wore a number seven shirt when he played for Manchester United and England—revealed the baby's name in a posting on his Facebook page and said both mother and baby are "doing well."
David wrote: "I am so proud and excited to announce the birth of our daughter Harper Seven Beckham. She weighed a healthy 7 lbs 10 oz and arrived at 7.55 this morning, here in LA.
"Victoria is doing really well and her brothers are delighted to have a baby sister xx."
David and Victoria are thought to have chosen the name Harper—which is a popular moniker for both boys and girls in the US—because of its "lovely sound," while Seven was decided upon due because it is considered a lucky digit.
A source in Los Angeles told The Sun newspaper: "The couple loved the name Harper. It has no hidden meaning—they just fell for the name and think it has a lovely sound.
"They went for Seven as a middle name as they think it is a lucky and spiritual number. And the baby arrived around 7 a.m. in July— the seventh month."
The tot was delivered by caesarean section, and David recently revealed the couple's house has been decorated in pink, ready for their arrival.
He previously said: "It's a whole new, different thing for us. To have so much pink in the house, lilac in the house and dresses. All the clothes are ready, the room's ready. We're really excited."
Victoria —who has made no secret of her desire to have a daughter—recently said she felt "blessed" to be pregnant again even though it's tough being a working mother.
The 37-year-old star said: "As any working mother out there knows, it really is like juggling glass balls when you've got the kids and a husband to look after, and you're passionate about your career.
"But I wouldn't have it any other way. I'm blessed."
