Baron Geisler was spending time with his friends on Tomas Morato when he learned that Mother Lily Monteverde was celebrating her birthday at the Imperial Palace Suites.
The actor dropped by the venue to greet the veteran film producer whose birthday actually falls on August 19, Friday.
For the past six months, Baron has been staying at Penuel House, a rehabilitation facility in San Juan that operates like a spiritual retreat house for men.
"Graduate na ako nung Wednesday [August 17]," Baron told PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) shortly before midnight last Friday.
"Ito nagpapakabuti ako at nagpapaka-sober lang at nagko-concentrate sa mga proyekto."
When asked regarding his future projects, Baron said that he will be the kontrabida in the movie Kingpin: The Asiong Salonga Story.
He also revealed that he is doing pre-production work for an action film titled Pitong Araw, which will be directed by Alain Peñaflor.
"Idol ko sina Robin Padilla, John Regala, I want to be like them. Sana mas dumami pa ang gumawa ng action films. Ako mismo gagawa ng stunts ko."
NEW LEAF. Baron admits that after being dependent on alcohol, he wants to turn a new leaf.
"Ang itatawag na sa akin Baron-bago, hindi na Baron-bado!" he exclaims.
"Ngayon, I look forward to work and to have a good life. Only by God’s grace nabibigyan ako ng projects.
"Naghihintay lang ako pero mukhang positive naman ang future."
How has time spent in rehab changed him?
"Mas close ako sa Diyos at mas may connection ako kay God," he said.
"Alam ko na ang mga priorities ko ngayon. At alam ko if I do something stupid, may mga consequences."
Last January, Baron made a public apology to his former Noah co-star Cherry Pie Picache, who had filed a harassment complaint against him. (CLICK HERE to read related article.)
Does he plan to personally apologize to Cherry Pie Picache?
"Kung pagpalain ako ng Diyos at may tamang timing, I will do my apologies and make amends," replied Baron.
