PART 1. Jolina Magdangal "aiming" for a wedding in November: "Nae-excite na ako, e."

Jolina Magdangal says she’s not that nervous about her upcoming wedding. "More on excitement, e...yung kaba ko, excitement," she said.

When asked about the wedding date, "Puwedeng November kung kakayanin."

Most brides experience pre-wedding jitters, but not Jolina Magdangal.

"Nae-excite na ako, e! Nae-excite na ako sa buhay ko na yun," the future Mrs. Mark Escueta exclaimed during the press conference of GMA-7’s upcoming primetime series Iglot last night, August 23.

Tabloid columnist Allan Diones threw in, "Atat?"

She answered, "Hindi naman. Atat in a good way. Atat na na-e-excite...Kasi, pag nakita mo na pala talaga yung tao, parang magaang yung loob mo."

There’s no definite date yet, but according to her, it’s not going to be 11-11-11.

Jolina resumed, "Aiming kami for this year. Crossing my fingers, sana ito ay November. Sana...O, sana makasiksik ng December. Pero ang allowance namin, hanggang Feb."

Even the time has to be determined, "Mahirap mag-decide kung kelan talaga lately dahil ang init sa umaga, biglang uulan naman sa gabi..."

But whatever will be the final date—whether 2011 or 2012—her constant prayer is: "Huwag kami sanang ma-stress.

THE GUEST LIST. There are still a lot of things to be accomplished.

"Kakukuha pa lang namin ng wedding planner," she told PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal).

The process, she said, was quite fastidious because, "Gusto ko kasi, hindi yung parang ano ako, yung parang walang-walang alam na kung anong gusto kong theme or kung anong gusto kong mangyayari sa kasal."

So minsan, kahit sponsor, kahit gustong mag-sponsor, dahil ito ay special day mo, kailangan pala, salain. So, alam mo yun, trim lang nang trim."

Even the guest list has yet "to be trimmed." So far, the two of them came up with "dalawang bond paper, back to back, pero naka-section po yun."

Is it going to be covered by the media?

Her answer: "Hindi ko pa alam.

THE THEME. A garden wedding is what her heart desires. Her eyes smiled at the mere thought of a ceremony surrounded by the flowers and trees.

"Medyo maano, madahon? Madahon! Puwedeng madamo lang. Why not? Basta ano, fresh. Hindi malagkit. Yun talaga yung iniisip ko..." she beamed.

Jolens (her nickname) admitted to being a hands-on bride.

Pero hindi naman to the point na yung planner, e, baka siya yung ikasal. Fresh siya tapos ako, haggard, di ba," the singer-actress-host related.

One sure thing, the wedding will be a collaboration. She’s usually the one who comes up with concepts, which Mark elaborates.

OTHER DETAILS. She didn’t reveal much about her entourage save for the matron of honor, who will be her ate Melanie, and the best men, who will be Mark’s brothers, one of whom will be coming from the U.S.

Among her friends in the business, "Gusto ko talagang kunin si Kyla hindi dahil kinuha niya ’ko kundi dahil [we’ve been friends.]"

And who will design her gown?

The wedding song is "secret."

In jest, she said, laughing: "Baka i-search po, e. I-search??? Diyusko naman, ang damot [ko]."

But to give a clue, "Meron po kaming isang napili na yun talaga yung kumbaga, istorya namin. Parang tungkol talaga sa nagmamahalang boy and girl, gano’n."

Something to look forward to is the still-incomplete song that was initially composed by the Rivermaya drummer.

Indeed, she has no time or reason to feel nervous. This stage, she said, "is a process of planning and learning."
