Zanjoe Marudo needs a launching movie, says his Wedding Tayo Wedding Hindi co-star Eugene Domingo

"Mahirap magpatawa nang hindi ka trying hard. Dito [sa pelikula], kaya ni Zanjoe, e. Natural sa kanya ang pagiging komedyante," says movie director Joey Reyes about one of the lead actors of Wedding Tayo, Wedding Hindi.

Zanjoe Marudo is one of the Kapamilya actors being groomed to be a leading man. And his director and co-actor in the upcoming movie Wedding Tayo, Wedding Hindi believe that he has a very good potential as an actor.

Movie director Joey Reyes said he never knew anything about Zanjoe until they worked together in this movie. He was surprised about his attitude, which was actually lacking to some of the new breed of stars.

Direk Joey related at the press conference of the movie recently, "Nagulat lang ako. He is such a down-to-earth person.

Direk Joey also noted Zanjoe ability to perform as dramatic actor and comedian.

"You know, it’s a matter of positioning himself, e," he told the media. "Kasi, at this point, they’re giving him all kinds of jobs.

"Di ba, for a year, nasa Banana Split siya, sumasayaw kasa-kasama nina Jason [Gainza] at John Prats?

The director also think that Zanjoe has that kind of wit for a comedian.

In fact, when asked what kind of role would fit the former Pinoy Big Brother celebrity housemate, he answered, "You know, kasi ang dami nang romantic leading man, e.

WAITING TO BE LAUNCHED. From being a PBB celebrity housemate in 2006, Zanjoe already appeared in several TV shows and movies.

His previous TV projects include Super Inggo (2006), Dyosa (2008), The Wedding (2009), Lovers in Paris (2009), and Precious Hearts Romances Presents: Kristine (2010).

He also appeared in movies such as You Got Me (2007), Kimmy Dora (2009), Cinco (2010), and Sa’Yo Lamang (2010).

Despite all these, Eugene Domingo, Zanjoe’s co-star in Wedding Tayo Wedding Hindi, believes that he still has to have his own launching movie.

"Doon ko lang na-realize na lahat pala kailangan nalu-launch if you really are serious about it."

When asked what she can say about Zanjoe’s performance as a leading man, Eugene replied, "Nagagalingan ako sa kanya, e."

She also stressed, "Para sa akin, ha, given the right material, he can be the next Bembol Roco. Both comedy and drama.

Eugene and Zanjoe first worked together in the movie Kimmy Dora.
