PEP EXCLUSIVE: Danica Sotto wishes her dad would find "someone na talagang who will stick it out with him, whether he is Bossing or not..."

Aside from Danica Sotto, her sister-in-law Kristine Hermosa is also pregnant. Danica says, "Oo, sobrang baby boom kami ngayon."

She goes on relating that Sunday is their "family day," and "in between, minsan kunwari, a, may nga days bigla na magyayaya, kakain sa kanila, kakain kami out, may mga gano’n-gano’n naman kami."

Staying away from the limelight is Danica Sotto’s personal choice.

At the Proudly Promama Fair of Wyeth on September 3, the mom who’s set to give birth to baby number two tells PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) that family has been her priority since she got married.

"Siguro kasi, we really have to...alam mo yung i-etablish ko muna yung marriage ko, na talagang yung roots...

"Di ba sabi nga nila, kailangan talaga na malalim muna yung talagang samahan ninyo.

"Parang nagi-guilty din ako na kakakasal pa lang namin ’tapos alam mo yun, magkikita kami, pauwi ako, paalis siya, ’yong gano’n. So, parang ang hirap din," she explains.

Danica adds that her three-year-old boy and the baby girl she’s expecting, are the reasons why she had to shun the offers coming her way.

"Parang ang inano ko lang kasi is, sinabi ko sa sarili ko, sandali lang din kasi yung time na ganyan sila yung maliit.

"Sabi ko, siguro focus muna ako and then if me dumating na work in showbiz that suits the lifestyle, why not?"

MISSING SHOWBIZ. But she admits missing showbiz.

Before marrying cager Marc Pingris in 2007, she was part of the sitcom Daddy Di Do Du and also played Valentina in an episode of Komiks.

"Nami-miss ko kasi parang hindi rin naman ako yung, okay lang sa akin yung mga puyatan kasi love ko naman ginagawa ko. I miss also doing yung mga kontrabida na ginagawa ko before, sa mga soaps dati, nami-miss ko rin."

Eventually, she would like to go back, "pero baka pag medyo siguro, ilang taon na yung mga bata." And when that happens, she wants to pursue drama more seriously.

The daughter of Vic Sotto and Dina Bonnevie relates, "Ang dami nga nag-a-ask parang gusto ko ba ulit acting, as in acting...

"I wanna do something more siguro mom-oriented or something about womanhood, ganyan. Tingin ko siguro soap puwede or yung mga movie movie ganyan."

For now, she will focus on her role as a wife and mother.

"For anything na medyo puyatan, I don’t think na...Siguro hindi ngayon. Kasi I breastfed also nang matagal, e, the first one. So, parang siguro, kung nagkataon lang na there were...there were offers kasi of also doing cooking show.

"I had offers of doing a parang...yung talk show, ganyan...Pero parang hindi natutuloy. So I don’t know kung baka it’s not yet time.

"Siguro parang ano, nagkataon lang din na parang siguro wala ding offer that suits my lifestyle, for the meantime, ’yong gano’n."

And when is she gonna be ready?

"Siguro pag mga three years old na yung [anak ko]," she answers.

WISHING HER DAD A LADY "NA TALAGANG FOR KEEPS." In the meantime, she’s focused on her pregnancy.

Her mom, she says, would usually remind her, "Mag-ingat ka."

As for her dad, "parang wala namang masyado," she says, smiling. "More of parang magtatanong ’yan ng, ’How are you? Are you okay?’"

And since her famous dad is mentioned, PEP asks her views about the comedian-host’s "single" status.

In a wistful tone, she says, "I really want my dad na to really have someone na to settle down with him na talagang for keeps, yung ganun.

"’Yong para bang hindi lang ’yong for show. Hindi lang ’yong temporary. And then pag nawala na lahat yung glitz and glamour, andiyan pa rin."

At 57, the Eat Bulaga! Host doesn’t seem to have any plan of tying the knot again. But if Danica will have her way, "I want someone na talagang who will stick it out with him, whether he is Bossing or not, ’yong ganun."

Speaking like a woman beyond her years, she underlines that fact that it’s inevitable for her dad to go through changes.

"Na parang kunwari lang hindi na siya si ano, hindi na siya si Vic Sotto. Dumating na siya sa point na kunwari...I mean, bata pa naman ang daddy ko pero kunwari you know, he’s a bit older and he wants to lay low, that partner also is parang willing to adapt to yung lifestyle niya at that time, yung gano’n."

She has the same wish for her mom.

Moving on, the 28-year-old celebrity says, "’Yon talaga ultimate ano ko talaga dream and prayer [ko] not only for my dad but for my mom. ’Yong talagang somedody na magiging good companion.

"Kasi at the end of the day, it’s all about that, di ba. Hindi naman yung parang...Alam naman natin yung mundo ng showbiz, very temporary.

"So I really want someone para sa kanila na alam mo yung genuine talaga."
