Joshua Dionisio reveals the difficulties of being in a relationship with his previous leading lady

Joshua Dionisio reprises the role of Sherwin Ordoñez in GMA-7’s remake of Ikaw Lang ang Mamahalin.

Joshua Dionisio will once again be paired with Barbie Forteza in GMA-7’s upcoming afternoon soap opera titled Ikaw Lang ang Mamahalin.

He will reprise the character first played by Sherwin Ordoñez in the original TV series aired ten years ago.

The tween actor says about his role, "Anak ako ng business tycoon played by Maricar de Mesa. Ako ang ginu-groom niya to take over the family business.

NO TO OFF-SCREEN ROMANCE. Joshua admits that he would still choose Barbie to be his onscreen partner even if their loveteam has proven itself successful for the past two years.

"Mas okay kung kaming dalawa, muna kasi mahirap mag-a-adjust kung magpapalit. Nag-umpisa kami na magkasama, e."

Although he and Barbie have been spotted watching movies together while accompanied by other people, he maintains that there is nothing romantic going on between them.

Hindi na kami nagkakailangan, we’re good friends."

Joshua prefers to maintain his friendship with his current leading lady.

He reveals that in the past, he already experienced the difficulties of being in a relationship with his leading lady.

However, he did not divulge the name of his previous girlfriend whom he says was his co-star in an ABS-CBN show.

"Baka magkatampuhan, baka makaapekto sa work.

"I’ve been there before. Nagkaroon na ako ng love team [partner] at more than friends kami."

How did he deal with the situation?

"Nag-break kami. Ayoko na maulit," he says seriously.

We’re public property."

COLLEGE PLANS. At the moment, Joshua is at the fourth year of his high school home study program.

When asked for his plans for college, he told PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) that he wants to become a chiropractor someday.

"Ayaw ko pong mag-college dito," he reveals.

"After ng showbiz life, saka ako magka-college.

According to Encyclopedia Britannica, chiropractors manipulate and adjust body structures, such as the spinal column, and use physical therapy when necessary.

Why does Joshua want to become a chiropractor?

The GMA-7 actor then disclosed that it was chiropractic treatment that finally got rid of his asthmatic condition years ago.

"Through the years, meron akong asthma at nalaman ko na kaya pala ako may asthma, kasi hindi naka-align ang [spine ko]."
