Philippine Volcanoes player Gaz Holgate clarifies Lovi Poe is just a friend; reveals he has a girlfriend in the UK

Gaz Holgate on joining showbiz: "Yes, it’s an opportunity I’d love to do. But I think it’s very hard for me because I play rugby. And to try to manage both at the same time... I only get a couple of weeks off a year out of training for rugby, so I take that time to have holidays and vacations and it’s just too difficult.

Nagkakilala sina Gaz at Lovi through their common friend na si Solenn Heussaff.

Kuwento ni Gaz, "Actually, I’m friends with Solenn and I saw her [Lovi] picture on Solenn’s Facebook and I thought I’d like to be introduced to her, and Solenn introduced the both of us."

Childhood friend daw ni Gaz si Solenn.

Ano ang naka-attract sa kanya kay Lovi?

"I think Lovi’s very beautiful, she’s very attractive, and I thought I’d like to meet her.

"Yeah, of course, we hang out and she’s a really cool girl actually.

"And then we all went to one of the nightclubs afterwards and partied a bit.

"And she then met some of the Volcano players and it was really a pretty good time."

"Nah! I think we’re just good friends and, hopefully, we’ll keep it that way, but nothing romantic at all."

May girlfriend na raw kasi si Gaz.

"I have a girlfriend actually. She’s actually based in U.K."

"Yes, it’s an opportunity I’d love to do," sagot niya.

"But I think it’s very hard for me because I play rugby.

"And to try to manage both at the same time... I only get a couple of weeks off a year out of training for rugby, so I take that time to have holidays and vacations and it’s just too difficult.

"But it’s something I’d like to go into."

"So, we’re ranked top two in Asia which is amazing!" pagmamalaki pa ni Gaz.
