Alice Dixson and non-showbiz husband remain happily married without children

"He has his gigapixel [panorama photography] business. He’s the national distributor for Canada and U.S.A. for GigaPan.

"If you’re just curious, check out his website: www.gigapixel.com. He’s been featured in the news so many times."

Ayon sa nasabing website, ang Gigapixel Panorama Photography creates "gigapixel panorama images for marketing, education, research, tourism, sports, special events and many more."

Patuloy pa ni Alice: "Yung mga ginagawa niya... they do GigaPan shoots.

"Like, recently, his company did the opening of BC Place Stadium. It’s a big football field.

"More than 500 million [Canadian dollars] was spent in renovations to put a retractable roof over the football stadium.

"His company was the first to put a 360-gigapixel robot camera underneath the score board.

"Yung mga ganon. First ang ginagawa niya. Ang dami!

"He has another business, he brought somebody from the UK to Canada to introduce this new technology called gigalinc.

"Ang dami, no? So, he’s always moving forward and if he comes back here para gawin yung business [niya], parang hindi worth it.

"I could," pagsang-ayon naman ang aktres.

Sinundan niya ito ng paliwanag: "We’re enjoying what we both like doing.

"Because his job takes him to different places.

"Sometimes he’s here in Asia, magkikita kami.

"Or if he’s covering something in Asia, I’ll meet up with him.

"Sometimes dumadaan siya... if he can, padadaanin ko siya sa Pilipinas.

"Usually, sa States... wherever his work takes him, dun siya."

We always have to improve ourselves.

"Simple lang ang buhay namin. Our work is travel-related kaya kami nagta-travel.

"Pero hindi kami yung we would take vacations. Hindi kami ganon.

"Very practical kami," paliwanag niya.

DROPPED FROM MMFF ENTRY.

"Actually, Mother Lily [Monteverde] and I met [to discuss] the project," simula niyang kuwento.

"Actually it was also offered to Lorna [Tolentino] daw.

I said, I’d love to do the project. And then we pretty much confirmed it verbally.

"And then I said, just let me know when are you gonna start para uuwi ako [sa Pilipinas].

"Kasi umuwi ako ng Canada muna. I [wanted to] spend time with my husband muna bago mag-start yung serye na Glamorosa.

"So, okey, I can come home in September if you want.

"Ito yung [napagkasunduan] namin in July.

"Sabi, ’Sige, I’ll send you the contract.’

"And then, lumampas na yung mga days, I was waiting for a call para bumalik ako.

"Wala, hindi na. I think, pinalitan na lang nila ako. Well, that’s their prerogative, di ba?

"Maybe they found somebody else that they want to play the role na mas bagay, and I think it became Maricel na lang," kuwento niya.

CHANGE OF PLANS.

"My relatives kasi would have come here [for an event] kung may trabaho ako.

"That was the original plan.

"Pero noong wala na akong pelikula for the filmfest, aside from Panday, they decided na, sige, let’s do it na lang sa States.

"Anyway, you [Alice] can come home for the break. Okey, no problem."

The plans just got changed nga because the film didn’t push through."

"You know, children put a lot of pressure on a marriage," ang sabi ni Alice.

"And lots of times, children are the reason they want to stay together.

"Ang hirap magsalita because I’m not in the position.

"But my friends tell me they would [stay together] for the kids. Or they have pressure to have kids.

"Kasi in our society, dito sa Pilipinas, it’s like, ’Why don’t you have children yet?’

"But you know, I’ve overcome that. Kasi dito ako happy, e.

"At first napi-pressure ako kasi people keep asking me... Kayo! [the press], you keep on asking me...

"You know, children are gifts. But they’re not the be-all and end-all in a relationship.

"Look at Oprah. She and her partner, they don’t have kids.

"Pero ang dami niyang nagagawa. Ang dami niyang natutulungang bata rin, all over the world.

"May kanya-kanyang mission yan and calling in life, e.
