Ai-Ai delas Alas plans to enter politics in 2016

I’m sure pag nasa posisyon ako, may magagawa ako," says Ai-Ai delas Alas about her decision to enter politics five years from now.

Ai-Ai delas Alas has been in the business of making people laugh for over two decades.

The actress dubbed as Concert Comedy Queen and hailed as Box-Office Queen for 2010 now wants to enter a totally different arena: politics.

During her birthday party for the press held at the Naci restaurant in Greenhills yesterday, November 27, Ai-Ai revealed that she wants to run for public office in 2016.

The actress, who turned 47 years old last November 11, admitted asking Batangas Governor Vilma Santos for advice.

So, mahirap talaga.’

Where does she plan to run for office?

"Depende...puwede sa Manila. Taga-Tondo naman ako. Taga-Tondo ako nung bata ako.

"Puwede rin sa Tayuman," Ai-Ai said.

Why does she want to enter politics?

"I’m sure pag nasa posisyon ako, may magagawa ako," she said.

When asked what position she would aspire for, she said: "Hindi mayor.

"Puwedeng councilor or congresswoman...’Wag naman senador, masyadong mataas."

Ai-Ai is giving herself five more years in the entertainment industry.

"Saka mas maganda, sikat ka pa rin. Parang Ate Vi lang ang peg," she said.

CAREER PLAN. When asked about her upcoming projects in 2012, Ai-Ai said, "May soap yata ako, tingin ko fantasy-comedy-drama."

Is she considering transferring to another network?

NEW ADDITION TO THE FAMILY. For now, Ai-Ai is happy taking care of the newest member of the family—a baby boy they call Seth Andrei.

She narrated how he came into their life.

"Bigay siguro sa akin ni Lord...

"Actually, ibinigay ng hairdresser ko. Seven months na siya ngayon.

"Sikat na sikat siya sa pamilya namin."

Why did she name him Seth Andrei?

Did she adopt him?

"Hindi, parang ako ang guardian...foster parent," she clarified, although she is open to the possibility of adopting Seth Andrei.

Ai-Ai admitted that she enjoys being a mother again.

"Super!

How would she describe the baby boy?

"Sobra yun. Pag ngiti nun, wala na, tapos na tayo. Nakakatuwa.

"Saka lagi kong sinasama sa taping ng My Binondo Girl, saka sa shooting [ng Enteng ng Ina Mo]," she said.

When does she plan to have him baptized?

When asked to name his godparents, Ai-Ai said: "Ninang niya sina Megastar [Sharon Cuneta], Kris [Aquino], Jolo [Revilla], saka mga kasama ko sa My Binondo Girl.
