Part 1 Ad agency asks Dolly Anne Carvajal to "correct misinformation" on Carmina Villarroel-Claudine Barretto issue

The "Agency" issued a letter refuting the allegations of Dolly Anne Carvajal (bottom right) on the reported "walk-out"of Carmina Villarroel (left) during a commercial shoot with Claudine Barretto (top right).

Here’s an excerpt: "We therefore refute the allegations published in your [Dolly Anne’s] column. Allow us to categorically state that the allegations are baseless and unfounded."

"Allow us to categorically state that the allegations are baseless and unfounded."

"First, Claudine [Barretto] requested that she be given the bigger dressing room, which Carmina readily agreed to. Then Claud asked if, instead of Mina, she could be the one to wear the white long-sleeved shirt. Again, Mina did not object. Later, Claud said she needed a nap. That was fine with Mina, too. The clincher was when Claud asked to deliver the longer line in the commercial. That was the last straw; Mina walked out."

Aniya, "Hindi kami magkaaway! Friends kami! So, hindi totoo.

"Kaya nga sabi ko nga, I have to speak up.

"I have to clear this up kasi she’s not here to defend herself."

’WE REFUTE THE ALLEGATIONS.’

Dear Ms. Carvajal:

We have taken note of an item in your column published on January 29, 2012 pertaining to Ms. Carmina Villarroel. In your article, the following were alleged:

1. During a shoot of a television commercial, Ms. Villarroel was "irked" by Claudine Barretto’s endless demands," and thus asked the crew to "pack-up." To quote your article further, "First, Claudine requested that she be given the bigger dressing room, which Carmina readily agreed to.

2. The information is from a person from the advertising agency that made the commercial.

To set the record straight, ALL projects such as TVC commercials, guestings, and the like involving Ms. Carmina Villarroel, Ms. Claudine Barretto, and Ms. Jodi Sta. Maria went smoothly, as scheduled, and there were no disagreements between and among the celebrities involved. Both Agency and Client have noted that Ms. Villarroel, as with the rest of the celebrity endorsers, have been very cooperative, and practiced utmost prefessionalism in all projects that required their participation.

We therefore refute the allegations published in your column. Allow us to categorically state that the allegations are baseless and unfounded. Any report linking Ms. Villarroel and the Agency to this issue must be dismissed as simply being false. May we request that you correct the misinformation that was previously published.

We trust that this clarifies the matter.

Sincerely,

Raffy Parcon

Account Supervisor
