(UPDATED) Azkals players Angel Guirado and Lexton Moy react to Cristy Ramos’s sexual harassment complaint

Azkals players Angel Guirado (left) and Lexton Moy (right) resorted to Twitter to air their side about Cristy Ramos’s sexual harassment complaint against them.

Angel Guirado’s Twitter post regarding the sexual harassment complaint against him and fellow Azkals Lexton Moy: “Thank you. It is very hard to perceive what people can do to get some attention. First, I was in short pants, and that being in my underwear is nor

"Thank you. It is very hard to perceive what people can do to get some attention.

"First, I was in short pants, and that being in my underwear is normal in the locker room changing for the game.

"What it needs, is to ask for permission before entering. And if you enter, be prepared for the consequences.

"But if they tell me that this is sexual harassment, these are strong words and the press should ask me first before making public anything. I think it is not just.

"They are playing with a life of a person. I expect them to rectify these news.

"Hugs to all."

"A heartfelt thank you. I am really touched. My life in the Philippines has not been easy but one has to find life however and wherever it may be. Now more than ever, football has always been my passion, life, and dream. While I am able to continue playing and fighting for it, and neither anyone nor anything is going to impede me. I did not disrespect anyone and more importantly not a woman."

"The public life of a football player is never easy and is even less easy when you go around all your life from one place to another. It is the same as when they have published in capital letters (headlines) those words, so strongly yet so wrongly. May they do the same with the pure truth and the reality of all these. A firm embrace to all."

"It deeply saddens me to hear about the very serious allegation. This sensitive situation will be addressed professionally and respectfully."

NO HARM INTENDED.

"Being part of the team and being the captain of the Azkals, we don’t condone sexual harassment at all," pahayag niya.

"Like I said, with Alex’s words and Angel’s, who can’t speak a word of English, there was no harm intended to Cristy Ramos."

Kuwento niya, "Any match commissioner calls each player, the player goes up to her with an ID, and usually holding the jersey as well, and presents what we have to present.

"Sometimes some players are not wearing any shorts."

"Should know the facts first before you judge people!"

"Preparation in Nepal for AFC Challenge Cup has been going really well so far. Shame there is people back home trying to bring football down."

PROPER BEHAVIOR.

"They’re not 13-year-old kids, they’re not five-year-old kids," wika ni Cristy.

"They’re in their early 20s, [or] mid-20s, you know, maybe some of the players are a bit older.

"So they should be mature enough to know what is proper behavior."
